[QUESTION] Memorial Address?

I was just watching this live: Memorial Address - arena tour 2003〜2004
And I was wondering... did she write this song specially for someone? Or is it just that emotional that she was crying?

It's speculated that she wrote them for her dad.

Maybe it was, but there's hundreds of pages in here, and I'd have to look through all of them

But yeah, long story short, we don't know for sure who it was written for, but I personally think it's obviously meant for a very specific person who is deeply connected with her for one reason or another. To me, it does seem likely that it could be for her father.

Just watched the performance again.... Aaaaaa, sooo sad.

I've only ever seen that live once. I must download it...

if you read the lyrics its about someone that died i dont know if her dad is dead , all we know is he dissapears . ayu grandma died when she was youger. i think its for one of her friend .

Lyrics are very figurative. It doesn't necessarily have to mean that the person literally died; she could just as easily mean "dead" in the lyrics as "left my life." Not that I'm disagreeing with you guys, because I think there's a possibility it was for a friend, too. Just saying.
