@njanjayrp I don't really think only her fanbase would be able to keep Days on digital charts for more than 1 year... x,x

Still, not saying it was a smash hit, but it was really popular...

It'd be nice if Ayu released another JEWEL-like song or a STEP you. I mean who DOESN'T know 1, 2, 3, 4 YOU and ME? Haha. Even my parents know it... bahaha. A lot of her songs lately are awesome (to fans) but to people who aren't Ayu fans listening to the songs often, I think it's like listening to a popular artist's album tracks as opposed to a single that gets addicting after a listen or two.

The PVs rarely get more than 20-30k downloads and even if she sold 50-60k of Days PV that still doesn't cover the number of TA members. And chaku-uta/full did not spend a year+ on the charts, but only the PV and the incoming call video.

I agree the song was popular compared to some, but Sunrise and Together When... did way better digitally in the categories that matter more.

^ that's exactly why I said that Days was better received within her fan base and not the general public.

If I'm not wrong, incoming call videos don't get certifications, so, we can't know how much it sold... still, one year charting is huge... I'm pretty sure it sold really well, or is it common for those videos to chart for a whole year?

The pv didn't chart for one year

I think that nem referred to avex's pdf around autumn 2009 where Sunrise's full PV sold around 30,000 and the ic videos sold 40,000 and it was of the best selling pvs on recochoku.

Yup. I am not saying those numbers aren't great btw and they are obviously the reason they aren't uploading the full PVs to Youtube.

Yeah, this is something why Avex is doing the best as they can to earn money, when we've actually got more competition with other artists and labels, and in my standpoint, as Ayu already have over 13 years of experience, and at an age of 32 years old, we definitely do have stiff competition around Ayu and Avex.

When it's out of the top 300 weekly.

Probably Less than 250-300 copies.

Wow, so i wonder how you find out how many copies are sold... there has to be a way to see how many copies have been sold say two years after the fact..
or is it something that avex releases...?

After it's out of oricon top 300 weekly there's no way to know but these days only if an album is on top 50-100 you can say how much it sells every week after a release is dropped off the top 100.
There used to be Under 101 charts by livedoor blogs oricon subscribers but there isn't anymoer unfortunately, but for Love songs, it's out of the top 300 so there's no way to know how much it sells (or anything else that is out of the top 300).

Still... it's not like it stopped charted for good... those albums with small sales have very close numbers, 20 sales can make a huge difference on the chart... So, it may chart again for some weeks later...
