people who say she is copying lady gaga are americans who do not know Ayumi well. Lady GaGa is so popular in america right now.

of course, they don't know Ayumi has been doing it for many years. her strange fashion, funny hand movements, and all those things! they simply don't know.

Like this comment I read in youtube, in a MARIA CALLAS clip, where this user said that while watching maria callas reminded him about people not accepting that gaga can sing????, something scary like that!!. I even remember here in ahs there was a thread about that too comparing opera singers to gaga, I don't know how that ended.

anyway, So if there are ppl who can't accept that there are many ways to go around this ayu-vs-gaga-fashion-fight, they should not get into a debate.

"La Divina" Maria Callas compared to Lady GaGa???

Gosh, I don't know where music right now is heading then
Gaga has some catchy music but she's just the artist of the minute

And about the "copying"... Yeah, Ayu seems to be inspired by the Gaga-McQueen team, still, those claiming Gaga is original, creative or whatever, really need some fashion, music and stage history

it's simmilar, isn't?
I think I just had a near death experience watching this, and at the end of this the purple pleather suit wasn't even similar (and its not like Ayu even invented that kind of get up anyhow). You were kidding right? cause if not you need your eyes checked.

Anyhow, I find this whole comparison laughable. Pretty soon people will say that Gaga inspired anything Avant Garde and the Fashionista George Micheal Videos of the 90s (wearing Linda Evangilista's outfit in her Paparazzi video). There are far too many instances and similarities discrediting Gaga of her originality.

the video looks, obviously, fashion inspired. everything fashion doesn't = gaga.

anyway i dont see why its such a shock when people read others' comments that accuse ayu of copying. its not the 1st time and i doubt it'll be the last. arent there a ton of ayu PVs that were accused of copying jennifer lopez, madonna, britney etc before? lol just let it go

i'm sorry but that is just immature and childish to bring kumi into this & bash her for no reason and on such a subjective matter as that

Gaga is big right now and everyone knows her for her crazy fashion, so when they see Ayu dressed up similarly, it only makes sense that they're going to think "Lady Gaga!" Even I did that when I first saw the PV preview. It's really not a big deal to me. People are always going to compare stuff.

Thaks andrenekoi.that pict explain everything....

fashion can be avant garde, minimalist, cute, glamour, freak, hard core,*****y?,gothic? electric, robotique, retro, atomic (lol) and what so-called whatsoever...
so... i think Ayu choose avant garde this time after she ever wear all themes, remember ura ayu? i think its kinda freaky and weird too.

what about daybreak?

how could be sparkle compared to lady gagaishme? ck ck ck.

what about bjork? kylie minogue? they seem wear a weird fashion too (sometimes)

i think Ayu is copy fashion.not that GAGA or what so-called whatsoever.

jolin is copy ayu's theme.and everyone's theme.wkwkwkkw

ayu has been popular since she is always do weired thing in fashion,,,,

one things which droves ayu popularity on her golden era was her silly uniqe n weired fashion taste,,,,that day gaga was "anyone",,,,,

dont forget about URAAYU,,,,,,,,,,,,shes horrible on that photobook,,,,,
if u want to watch ayu weired fashion try to waatch her live performance in 1999-2003...

Well gaga is big everwhere, not just US.

While ayu is big in japan, her terrority is smaller compare to gaga. Even in Asia countries like Taiwan, Singapore n china, gaga is more well known. Even my friend who is a gaga n joilin fan, found the styles in SLT similar to gaga, n she too thought ayu is copying, so wat rights does ayu fans have to bash jolin. . .

So I end up showing her the older ayu Pv, ourselves, real me, SURREAL n of coz the TA post that ayu posted of her in the wacky white hair photoshoots years ago. Only then, she slighty accept that ayu do have those wacky ideas before, but why is ayu suddenly coming back with those ideas just when haga's style is so recognize? She's implying that this is a sales trick to get more notice n promotion for her album.

Oh well..... I'll just wait till the album n pv is out, then see if there's any news articles about ayu vs gaga.

GaGa raised the bar for creativity in mainstream pop music. That's all I'll give her credit for. Of course there's going to be other female singers trying to keep up with her or outdo her. But as GaGa-inspired as Sparkle/Sexy little things may be... they're not GaGa to the point of pretentiousness. GaGa's peak has already passed, IMO. People already expect wayyyyy too much of her, and she's barely even released two albums. Eventually, people won't be surprised by anything she does.

I don't have anything against Gaga but she has certainly done a good job in brainwashing people into thinking that anything high fashion/weird is her.

all of this.

I am not an ignorant fan of GaGa. I don't even know if I would call myself a fan. I'm a fan of her music, not really a fan of her though. I'm just an un-biased Ayu fan. Seriously, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about Ayu. I'm amazed by her aura, her beauty, her talent, her music, her voice, her eyes, her hair, her skin, her clothes... just everything. I pretty much would do anything in the name of Ayumi Hamasaki. But this video looks GaGa-ish. Not a bad thing. Just saying. You can't say that it doesn't look GaGa-ish, just a teeny tiny little bit?

It looks Gaga-ish in the sense that it's weird and fashion-centric, yeah. But some people make it out like Ayu is ripping off Gaga's style when she isn't even the one who designs a lot of her outfits (Gaga that is).

To me it really seems like Ayu is just revisitting things from her past, as she said she was doing.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Ayu knows next to nothing about Gaga. She doesn't seem to pay that much attention to the music industry, ha ha.

um no. Sorry.

I don't really agree with anyone's points of view except for the fact that Ayu didn't copy Gaga.

A lot of the assumptions about Ayu from the Gaga stans pov is retarded, and a lot of the assumptions about Gaga from the Ayu stans pov is retarded.
