Stupid Question About DVDs

I guess I've always wondered this, but how on earth do overseas fans (and those not in China or Korea, who can still buy DVDs with appropriate region codes) support Ayu by buying her DVDs? Naturally, you don't want to buy a bootleg, but how can you watch a DVD whose region code doesn't work in your country? Is it just that everyone finds a way to make their DVD players region free? :s

Region-free DVD players are fairly affordable. Also, there are region-free media players that you can purchase online, there are also freeware players. Alternately, Windows Media Player's region can be switched a limited number of times before it locks up to one specific region.

also you can find online a lot of information how to make your standalone dvd player region-free or you can use such software as AnyDVD to watch at your pc or laptop.

It's superduper easy to make your own DVD-player region code free.

-Find out your players complete name. (For example; Philips BDP-8000)
-Google the name + region code free. (ex. Philips BDP-8000 region code free)

And you will get a bunch of threads telling you how to do. It only takes like... 5 minutes and all you will have to do is to turn the DVD on and push some buttons with the remote. And after that, all DVD's from all across the world will work. Yay~

Then on AT2010 he asked me to marry him. He was such a sweet. And Ayu gave us our blessings. She was also such a sweet. Now me and Maro are such a sweets together. Aaaw, how time flies.

or you can also download VLC Media Player, which will automatically be able to play any region DVD.

Well, it's lucky for me that Japan does not have the same region as the rest of Asia; it has region 2, just like europe. So I can play Japanese DVDs without any problems xD

with this player you don't have to switch region code in your drive. It will work with any dvd around the world.

How about subtitles?
With clips I've seen on youtube the actual concert footage is usually available with the option of multiple subtitles but what about the making of's ect.?

^ I wouldn't know, but the Chinese versions do have Chinese subtitles. As far as I know, though, these can be turned off (?).

Does anyone know if menus on the Chinese versions are in Chinese, Japanese, or English?

^ Yeah I think that's right...The menus are the same as the Japanese ones with "play" etc. and they don't translate the songs into Chinese in the menu.
