At long last today is the official release date of AKIHIDE's Hoshikai no Shounen !

To celebrate the release , the 2nd Hoshikai no Shounen release event will take place later on today at Aichi's HMV Sake Event Space

Purchase of Hoshikai no Shounen at the release event(s) will include 1 event participation ticket

This time round , 2 different redemption items will be given and they differ , depending if fans purchase the Regular or Limited versions of the album

Release event redemption item for

Regular Version - Omohide Rokuon Kai

AKIHIDE will perform a snippet of a song from Hoshikai no Shounen on the spot

Song selection choices for today :

- Hoshioi no Shoujo
- Hoshikai no Shounen
- Kuroi Hakuchou

* Fans are allowed to record the song snippet AKIHIDE will play for them
* Only fans' handphones are allowed to record the song snippet . Other IT devices are not allowed
* Re-recording is not allowed should fans' handphones malfunction
* Choice of 3 songs from Hoshikai no Shounen given
* Selection of songs differs at each release event
* Fans are not allowed to do high touch or shake AKIHIDE's hands when Omohide Rokuon Kai is ongoing

Limited Version - Hoshikai no Satsuei Kai

* Fans will take a 2 shot photo with AKIHIDE and both parties will be seated

* The red star props that were used in the Hoshikai no Shounen album & promo shots will be made available

* Being staff will use fans' handphones for the photo taking . Cameras , tablets & other IT devices are not allowed

In rare circumstances if Being staff had problems handling the fans' handphones during the photo taking , fans will be allowed to retake the photo with AKIHIDE for the 2nd time without any penalty involved

Further release event details :

- 2 different types of tickets will be issued in each release event . 1st is Admission Ticket for the mini live , 2nd is Reward Ticket for the handshake event

- Each Admission Ticket will have a serial number printed on it and it will be given at random no matter how early or late fans purchase Hoshikai no Shounen at the release event

- Fans will enter inside the mini live's stage based on the serial number printed on the Admission Ticket

- Each fan will be allocated only 1 Admission Ticket . Reward Ticket allocation is based on how many copies of Hoshikai no Shounen purchased

So if a fan purchased 10 copies of Hoshikai no Shounen (depending on each version) , he/she will get 10 Reward Ticket(s)

- Allocation of Admission Ticket & Reward Ticket are based on 1st come 1st serve basis

I received the 2 CDs limited version of AKIHIDE's Hoshikai no Shounen this morning

Songs in Hoshikai no Shounen which featured AKIHIDE singing in them include :

2) Hoshioi no Shoujo
3) Utsukushii Hitomi
6) Donguri
9) Arifureta Monogatari
10) Hoshikai no Shounen
12) Aozora

Hoshikai no Shounen follows the same album format as AKIHIDE's previous album Kikai Jikake no Yuenchi -Electric Wonderland- ie. 50% instrumental 50% with his singing vocals

Hoshioi no Shoujo & Hoshikai no Shounen are inter related with each other and Aozora is the oldest song in the album as AKIHIDE created it 20 years ago o_O

So for Aozora , it could have been included in NEVER LAND's discography but AKIHIDE didn't made a CD version of the song , until now

Barks on Wed published a long but yet insightful interview that they did with AKIHIDE in conjunction with the release of Hoshikai no Shounen

_kurosora @ Twitter translated some parts from the interview to English . Not the whole interview is translated but only certain portions that're interesting if not worth noting on

As with all translations , everything is not 100% accurate give or take

- AKIHIDE originally created 10 songs for Hoshikai no Shounen prior to the addition of Namida no Umi , Koete & Aozora

- Hoshikai no Shounen story plot this time round is less complicated than Kikai Jikake no Yuenchi -Electric Wonderland-

- Hoshikai no Shounen story plot centres on a man & a woman from their 1st meeting until they had to part ways

- Hoshikai no Shounen story plot conveys AKIHIDE's weakness

- AKIHIDE : Why the male character shut himself & withdraw into a shell and ended up living with the night stars . I composed every song in Hoshikai no Shounen based on this idea

- Album colour concept wise AKIHIDE chose red as to show the fans a different and a new side of him . Another reason is because he wanted the jacket covers to stand out and catch people's attention

- AKIHIDE : I want to convey my views towards life & death . Like when a parting happens and the other person feels like "I have to keep going on , I have to be strong”. It's also 1 of my worries - parting & death and everyone experiences both

- AKIHIDE : My dad died before I turned 30 years old . I thought “he won't be back from the dead even if I kept praying” and I started to make many songs to feel better . This became one of my source of energy or reason behind making songs

- AKIHIDE : Arifureta Monogatari is a song that's related to the story plot in Hoshikai no Shounen but also it's for my fans

1 of the lyrics in Arifureta Monogatari is - Because I met you , you chose me

Frankly I'm a bit disappointed AKIHIDE only sung once which was for Hoshioi no Shoujo but I guess he didn't want to overwork his vocals in line with this weekend's release events where he had to do 2 mini live sessions back to back :s

As this was my 1st time watching something via YouTube Live , I wasn't sure if the footages would stay on YouTube after AKIHIDE's 1st YouTube Live session finished but quite surprised Being decided to leave everything up intact , for now

Other than what I already said in my previous post , AKIHIDE also briefly narrated the story line in association with Hoshikai no Shounen

With today's being the 1st YouTube Live session , hopefully for future BREAKERZ related ones if they plan to do , it wouldn't be so short :s

Also my mistake , Hoshikai no Shounen (the song) does not have any vocals sung by AKIHIDE , it's only Hoshioi no Shoujo D:

Perhaps AKIHIDE wanted to make 1 song solely instrumental while the other with an almost similar song title with vocals on purpose

And the 2 live tracks from Hoshikai no Shounen regular version are really nice especially the live take of Yunagi no Parade
