Wiki.theppn answers: alan (阿蘭 or 阿兰 or アラン) is a Tibetan/Chinese singer and Erhu player from Sichuan province who debuted in 2005 with the album Sheng Sheng Zui Ru Lan (声声醉如兰). She made her Japanese language debut in 2007 under avex in Japan with the single Ashita e no Sanka (明日への讃歌). Recently, she released a chinese EP for RED CLIFF movie, including chinese versions of three of her hits.

now it's to wait for the B-side Namida to be out , I hope it will be a nice one as so far alan's B-sides have been pretty good & have substance

her B-sides are more experimental, which may be better...but usally her b-sides have the same feel as the a-side...so im guessing Namida might be a sad ballad as well..

im really liking Megumi no Ame...anything with Strings is <3
and that shocking twist in key at the first

OMG! I nearly cried when I first heard Megumi no Ame! It's a very touching song!! But the PV reminds me SLIGHTLY of "CAROLS" by ayu! Doesn't it?

I like My Stage , in fact I think she's 1 of the very rare artistes that put out consistently good B-sides but then again it's just my own opinion

Megumi no Ame, while generic, isn't bad. It's a safe song imo. It's not hitting any new ground, and it's not pushing out something unfamiliar, but it's still pleasant to listen too and still has an emotional power to it. While it's nothing mind blowing like Ashita, or even RED CLIFF, it's not bad.

That being said, since Namida is a b-side, I expect to see something a little more daring since there isn't the risk of the single not selling well because the song is ill received.

Also, Megumi no Ame, especially in the verses, reminds me of one of her Chinese cover songs

Yes it really does. At least I thought of CAROLS alot of times during the PV.
