How exactly did Maki got popular in Korea?

Well I think H!P always had a pretty steady following in Korea, so around the time Premium best was released Korea got their own special version. It came with a cellphone strap + 2 bonus songs in Korean (Suppin to Namida + Daite yo! PLEASE GO ON) and a DVD which came with the Suppin to Namida + Daite yo pvs and a special documentary thing of her in Korea.

After that she released five box sets exclusive to Korea called the "G-emotion single collection". They contained like 3 singles + the pvs and photo cards. I've been debating whether or not I should buy them >_>


So those best albums must have been popular, I never knew she was that popular in Korea either until I saw the screencap of her winning the award.

Most of her upbeat songs aren't like "SOME BOYS! TOUCH" or "Ekizo na DISCO" except songs from "How to use SEXY" so try that album. She has quite a few edgier pop songs a few rockish upbeat songs and a few cute upbeat tracks. Here's a few I would suggest if you don't like cute upbeat songs, these are kinda pop/R&B-ish:
