I really liked her performance at the grammys. I think what I liked most about it is that it wasn't some huge over-the-top performance like it was expected to be by many people. Her dancing throughout the entire performance was amazing, and her voice sounded great as well! I also think her outfit was really good too! I find this performance WAY more enjoyable than the one she did last year.

as others have said, the 60 minutes interview.
She doesn't do coke anymore, but she smokes pot while writing songs and drinks whiskey. She also wants her lovers to call her Stefani and not lady gaga in bed uhmm she wasn't joking at all during this 60 minutes interview except when she drank the diamond in her coffee. |

It was not said in a joking tone, it was when they were talking about her cocaine use in the past. |

LOL way to be a "good example" for your younger fans Gaga.
Is it just me or is BTW absolutely amazing? I feel like I'm in the minority loving it.

I've gotten use to the song, but as far as the performance, I think what really brought it down is how DARK the whole thing was! A song like that needs some visuals, some color. No she doesn't have to bring out a lot of drag queens or outrageous costumes but at the very least make it something worth watching. Cee-lo out-gaga'd Gaga...

Born This Way...is so...crap
She talks about making some huge anthem for being yourself, best song of her career, whatever and what does she release? A song that is a mix of Express Yourself and a leftover from Cher's Believe album with the most superficial lyrics ANY song like that ever had. I'm just glad aside for her core, crazy, "monster" fanbase people seem to realize that, if it becomes a gay anthem like she hopes I will go back into my warm, cosy closet... That egg was NOT cool and her performance sucked, she DID do a good job vocally though.

@jbrat: Girl, you are just all over this performance lol It wasn't that bad.
Honestly, I don't really see anything like, bad or particularly great about it. It was just a performance. I thought she just sort of...kept it simple. And as much as I don't like to listen to the song, her vocals were fine, and the dancing was...idk cool but typical I guess. But it seems like everyone wanted to be talking about her performance today...and even the announcers alluded to them thinking it was going to be crazy and outrageous...and it was just...normal idk I thought it was fun. I don't think it was the worst of the evening. Other people were just boring as hell. About her pot smoking...I don't see what's crazy about that...since like...everyone smokes pot and people are being way more open about it now.

Emiko, I think you're being generous lol. All she did was dance and play an organ. Which would have been fine if there was something to look at. There was nothing visual about the performance, it was dark, you could barely see her and she may have "danced well" but the choreography was ridiculous. The whole thing just seemed like an after thought and I know she can put more thought and creativity into a performance, even a toned down performance. If the song is suppose to be an anthem, make it look like it's suppose to be an anthem.
If it were me, I would have had a choir, some color, a better dance routine, better transitions, some damn lights etc. Really bring the song out, even with minor additions, it could have been better. And it's really not the dull performance that gets to me, it's they hype around the song itself and you can't even deliver a performance worthy of the "anthem of our generation." (her words btw) Maybe I'm harsh, maybe I'm wrong but all I know is I didn't like it one bit because I know she can do better. I don't necessarily think "she sucked" or anything like that. |

If you're a good singer, standing alone on a small stage with a mic is enough to give a good performance. I wasn't bothered by the lack of visual effects, or the dance routine or anything. I just sat there watching it with a kind of blank expression. I suppose it was the song that didn't do it for me. After hearing so many people praise it, I expected to be blown away.
