SMAP to release Beijing concert DVD

Pop group SMAP will be releasing a DVD of their first overseas concert on December 7th.

SMAP travelled to Beijing, China to perform their first overseas concert at the Workers Stadium. The day before the concert, they held a press conference at the Great Hall of The People, where Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu commented, “We expect them to improve the national sentiment of China.”

The DVD (titled “THANKS FOR BEIJING!!“) will feature clips of SMAP’s performances and rehearsals in Beijing. It’ll also contain the Chinese versions of “Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana” and “Yozora no Mukou“, as well as a clip of the boys singing Teresa Teng’s “The Moon Represents My Heart“.

As a bonus, a video clip of the Chinese version of “Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana” will be included in the DVD.

Tackey & Tsubasa lights up a Christmas tree at Akasaka Sacas



On November 18th, popular duo, Tackey & Tsubasa attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Akasaka Sacas.

Next year will mark the 10th anniversary for the duo since their formation, therefore, Takizawa Hideaki talked about his enthusiasm at the event, “I would like to make ‘Takitsuba’ with many people next year, and try our best becoming as one with everybody.” Imai Tsubasa also said to the 2,000 person audience, “Today was a great day for us. I want to have these kind of opportunities on a more frequent basis from now on.”

This day was also the opening day of Akasaka Sacas’ winter campaign “White Sacas”, and a skating rink was set at the venue. Tackey & Tsubasa also appeared at the rink, and performed “Heartful Voice” (will be released on November 23rd) that is the tie-up song for the winter campaign. Takizawa appealed, “This is a great song for the cold season. It will make your heart warm.”

The skating rink at the “White Sacas” will be open until on February 19th (Sun).

Domoto Koichi’s musical “Endless SHOCK” reaches 800th performance

On January 7th, the musical featuring KinKi Kids‘ Domoto Koichi, “Endless SHOCK“, opened at the Hakataza Theatre in Fukuoka.

“Endless SHOCK” has been playing for 13 consecutive years, and this day saw its 800th performance. Last year, the Tohoku earthquake struck during a performance at the Imperial Garden Theater in Tokyo, and a total of 28 performances were canceled afterwards.

Domoto commented, “The day has finally come. Though the time of ‘SHOCK’ was stopped because of the earthquake, I’m glad that it started moving forward again.”

This is the first time that a musical was performed at a theater other than the Imperial Garden Theater. Organizers renovated the ceiling of the Hakataza, spending about 50,000,000 yen (approximately $649,435.00 USD) for a flying stunt.

Domoto said that he would be deliver a passionate performance and that he didn’t feel a bit out of place. He’s also eager to try out the restaurants in Fukuoka. “I would like to enjoy Fukuoka using ‘a list of delicious restaurants in Fukuoka’ which Higashiyama-san (Higashiyama Noriyuki) gave to me as a reference,” he said.

The performances at the Hakataza theatre will run during January, and will be performed at the Imperial Garden Theater from February to April.

@Mai82Go seriously? wow, i guess we can bring it in here then. this thread has usually been the miscellaneous or general JE thread, despite it being the "sempai" thread. i only saw a few comments in the thread and i guess everyone was freaking out about their name and how Yo Marius is only 11, yeah?

are they an actually debuted group? or are they something similar to NYC? but i did read recently that they're gonna go on tour, so i guess they are. i don't really have a problem with them, i just don't know...anyone. (too young for me, lmao)

^So far it seems they debuted. They are supporters for the Volleyball World Championship. The groups that have done this before them are all debuted groups (V6, Arashi, NEWS and Hey! Say! JUMP!) They will also have a tour this year. I don't think they are temporary, they were made to last. I kind of like their first single and I think they are cute. Even though I could be Marius' mother. Haha.

I still wonder why they locked the thread. I mean, I've seen worse on AHS and I think the whole "ew, they are called sexy zone and are just little kids" thing gets old. Get over it.
