Can we rename this thread for NL/RnRC/Secret/MU? haha. I swear it's the same exactly posts each time, except for Guilty where she lost her number 1 and people were freaking out.

Well Imma add what I usually say in all sales thread. MORE PROMO!!!!!!!!!

^^But how do you know how much promo there is? You're not living in Japan. We've seen multiple billboards and a few Love songs buses. What more are you expecting?

After Utada's single collection sales I can better accept Love songs sales... The waning bubble I was living in has finally popped xD;.

I think some people just need to get used to the decline in her sales. I know it's not exactly exciting to watch her sell less each album release.. but it seems to be something that just isn't going to stop, so I think we should just be grateful she is still able to sell as much as she is now.

By more Promo, I solely mean more more lives so fans like me can indulge in ayu goodness! Besides for artists, more promo wouldn't hurt.

BTW got my CD! yay, omg the cd color is the worst ever!

Also having a really good tie-in is fantastic promotion. I'd like to see her do the theme song to a really popular drama one day.
Anyway, I think the sales are fairly good, hopefully it will end up selling almost as much as R'N'R Circus.

^^I always wonder why she HASN'T had an extremely popular drama tie-in. the only thing I can think of is that people are sick of her. I hope I'm wrong though.

on the first week we'll have something like this..

1st day - 70k - wed
2nd day - 35,5k - thurs
3rd day - 17,5k - fri
4th day - 8,7k - sat
5th day - 13,5k - sun (usual increase on sundays)
6th day - 6,5k - mon
7th day - 5k - tues

so it's gonna be something around 150~160k

Maybe the low sales have to do with the fact that a lot of Ayu fans just bought 3 singles not too long ago? They might feel, "Well, I already have a lot of the album songs on these, and I can't really afford another CD right now, after buying so many."

Coupled with the fact that physical sales are going down with everyone and everywhere, well... 70k is good.

The first week only counts 6 days' sales. Also, the weekly chart starts on Tuesday (they post yesterday's sales everyday).

I dun really think the sales are that bad. It's quite decent actually. If the first day figure was like 50K or less, I will call that bad.

She didn't promotion for her singles, that is bad for an album.

not all things are bad, love songs 2nd day went down by 48% while rock'n'roll circus dropped by 50%, so theres a chance love songs is just taking slower to sell.

she didnt promote her singles and she didnt promote well even this album...
i remember that Secret had a huge promotion, with something like 12 TV live performances of JEWEL, the album masterpiece. I think that the fact that Secret was going to be released in the same year of
(miss)understood it would need a special treatment, so they did. But with Love songs, that was is being released after Rock'n'Roll Circus, even being released in a period even smallar than the period between (miss)understood and Secret, they did nothing to put up with this, so that's one of the reasons that the sales arent so good as we expected, in my opinion...

I wish she would do more promotion by having more live performances, but she just doesn't really have the time to do it now with CDL coming up. I think Avex is doing a decent job with other promotion, though.

I think the world is more of a digital world now. People download albums all the time, so maybe we have to take that into consideration There's people buying it in physical and downloading it =D

I think the sales are really good At least she'll break 200k =D
