^ That makes me feel better. I'd been comparing it to Checkmate, which is a bad idea for numerous reasons.

People thought it was weird to suggest the pattern between Ayu and Kuu in which whoever releases first gets the higher sales. For the past two years I think Kuu released first and did better than Ayu but this time Ayu ends up with the most sales because Love songs came out first lol. It's a little strange, can't wait for the next album release.

It's just about 60k between Ayu and Kuu and Dejavu is still selling.

^ Yeah it's never really that big of a difference. The differences between Ayu and Kuu's sales have been getting smaller and smaller.

Release dates have nothing to do with it really...

It's 66k and I'm sorry, but Dejavu prolly won't get to sell those 6k before it stops charting.

Last year kuu's album sold more because it was a best it has nothing to do with who release first. It's just that kuu's drops between albums are not as small as ayu's.
Even if kuu's still charting it has no way to reach close to ayu's before it stops charting.

After Koda's peak, she was more popular than Ayu... as years passed by, she got less and less popular... Last year she was already less popular than Ayu, but her album was paired with the best... Now, Ayu is more popular than her again

kana probably will hit the 1st place

and i think u could include aiko, she always had steady good sales and she also has two best albuns on 2011 mid-year top 10 albuns list. kana only had two albuns released with good sales (aiko had a bunch and still has) and most of her singles barely hit 30k, aiko's lastest singles sold way better. thats why u should include also aiko =)

when YUI release her album this will probably change again...

Single Collection Vol.2 is counted towards Oricon 2010 though. Plus it's a best of for the bigger part and Checkmate! is a compilation, dunno if we should compare them with Love songs and Dejavu.

aiko had 2 best ofs released which have done quite well if you want to count those in as well, JUJU should be releasing an album sooner or later, but that could go both ways. Kana should have no problems selling over 400k though.

^ np =D

Miliyah Kato also had great sales with her lastest albuns, if she release one this year it will probably hit 200k too =D

so it means we're waiting for YUI, Kana Nishino, Miliyah Kato and JUJU?

ps: I think Mika Nakashima can easily hit 150k if she release a new album too.

Judging from her general singles pattern, YUI's next album won't do as well as Holidays in the Sun, maybe hitting 250k or something. Don't think she can beat Ayu, though.

At this point I'm not sure if Superfly will manage to beat Ayu this time.

He asked for their latest releases, not for their 2011 releases SC2 was released very close to LS anyway
