That other post wasn't meant to be mean... I was just explaining my opinion. The brick wall comment was that I see that the majority isn't interested... oh well.

3 more votes and it's even though. I think people are just scared by the word "merge" though, in that everything will get lost in the overall broadness of the forum. But that's just me.

I like the idea of a seperate ''General Music'' forum. I listen to many types of music and I think it would be cool to introduce others to some of it. I also think the J-pop/K-pop forum should be left as is. As that is what most of the members are into. So why make them have to search through threads about stuff they may not be interested in to find something they want?

Poll closed. Those who want to maintain the status quo won.

To those who voted yes: please keep posting about any other kind of music you like in the Chat Room forum. We can discuss the idea of a general music forum again if there seems to be more support for it in the future.

To those who voted no: is it because you don't want to talk about other kinds of music or is it only because you want Asian music to be kept separate?

I'd also like to say thank you on behalf of the staff to everyone who has been using the "Suggestions" forum. If there is anything about AHS you would like to see changed please tell us. I can't promise that we will implement all of the proposals that are posted, but I assure you that the staff seriously considers every suggestion we get.

To those who wanted a General music forum: You can always introduce new music. There's no need for a forum specially for it for you guys to start introducing other music styles to people. If you start doing that and people get enough interest the idea of a new forum or expansion may be considered again. Well that's my opinion.

its weird that no was the first option...

black / white ~ knife / fork ~ yes / no

i wonder if the results would have been different if yes had been the first option

I don't think so. There's really not much interest in non-asian music here anyway.....The JPOP/KPOP chat room was created because the chat room was crowded with asian music topics......For all these months the chat room almost never got crowded with non-asian music topics. But well if there are people interested on general music why not starting bringing topics about it? Personally I've only seem Ashley and Jose posting such topics later. No one else.

Would putting "yes" first make our opinions change?

I agree. Not because I voted for it, but because there's a lot of psychology when it comes to voting on things. The first thing you see is usually what you form an opinion from. People see the word "No", and think of reasons NOT to have it expanded. If they saw "Yes" first, they'd think of good reasons as to expand it. It's like a first impression.

Anyway, that was just me being informative. Ha ha!

LOL well either way if people saw the no first and thought about reasons why it shouldn't be implemented it's still a personal opinion. I would say people said no because they're more used to chatting about Jpop/Kpop....But anyway, everything will surely be reconsidered if there's more demand for other music. Ashley and Jose are making their topics in the chat room and they're getting replies there. If more people were to talk more about it than it would already be a great step forward in my opinion.

You can talk about Cpop in the Jpop/Kpop room. It doesn't say so in the title but we've been allowing the discussion of any Asian music in that room.
