Ah, well, it might be a hard song to sing live, too.

If there's any moment when we can start speculatnig about her lip synching, it's definately for her TV lives... it's rarely, but it has happened.

Maybe she wasn't lip-synching, but singing over her own voice, like in previous examples posted here?

Thanks for uploading, I'll probably download to check them later, when I have more time.

I'm not sure what you are talking about really. They sound like very different vocal performances to me.

SunshineSlayer, have you read this post? That's what I'm talking about

About ayu lip-synching, I always wondered about this live performace of CAROLS. There's the part when it goes all quiet and ayu sings the super high chorus, right? Well, there was this little slip when ayu moved the mic (quite far) away from her mouth for a split-second, but the volume and strength of her voice remained exactly the same. That got me wondering. I'll try to upload that segment here..

I think for the most part, as long as she doesn't lipsync all the time in concerts, it's fine.

People don't pay to see an artist just stand there looking pretty with the CD playing in the background

-grumbles about the theme of a-nation '03 scandalousness-
That was such a freakin' weird .. occurrance.. cause I think it honestly sounded like she was singing ._.

Yes, I have read your post and it doesn't make sense that the performances you posted would sound very different from each other, yet you claim she lip synched them. Even the part where she pulls the mic away from her mouth in both clips sound different. She did that pull the mic away thing in every Carols performance and I remember each of them sounding a bit different from each other, so no, no lip synching there.

No, I'm not comparing both CAROLS I've posted and saying she lip-synched for one. I'm just saying that I wonder how she can pull her mic so far away from her mouth, adn yet there's no difference in her volume/strength.

Maybe it'll help if I say it this way. Like the last phrase of the part is "nai kedo". The mic is right beside her mouth when she sings "nai", she pulls it far away at the word "ke", and it's right next to her mouth again on "do". But if you don't watch her do this, and just listen to the audio, the whole phrase "nai kedo"flows without change in volume. Though when you watch the video you would expect her voice to thin a little on "ke" since you see her pull the mic away. The 2 performances I've uploaded are those that I see her doing the pulling-mic-away thing.

Hope that helped I'm not trying to prov that ayu's lip-synching, but just bringing it up cause it struck me as weird..

But the "ke" part DOES change in volume. And also in the AX performance she only pulls the mic maybe an inch further from her, so you aren't going to hear a big volume difference. In the music station performance she pulls it a lot further and you can hear the "ke" part drop in volume quite a bit. But she brings the mic back up very quickly for the "do" part.

I hardly ever see her lip-synch, but if she does, there must be a REASON for it.

For the most part, Ayu sings live. I don't mind here slacking off here and there (if she does) because she's not a chronic lipper and she can perform live with relative ease.

Yeah, makes more sense now that you say that. Though I still can't really hear the volume drop in MS perf. Maybe it's time to get my ears checked o_0

I actually don't think so..I'm pretty sure that those two particular tracks WERE pre-recorded, because I just viewed the TV version..I could be wrong, and I have absolutely no care on the subject, but I think that they were. -shrugs-

Whatever, though.

I found a video that wasn't posted in this thread, it's most definitely lip synched.

It's sad that she's synching it, it could have been a great performance.

Memorial address

Credits to emiko for giving me the link.

edit,
it's not lip-synched, read on.

She's only performed Memorial address like twice.. O_O~

I don't think that audio is from Ayuready..
She never lipsynched on that show.. plus if it happened, someone like SunshineSlayer or Deli would know.

Here's the real one immel:

Oh, I missed that, I replied before you edited the post, thank you. That live is awesome, haha. Much better than the one with the MP3 pasted over it.

I'll edit my post.

I imagine someone just pasted it over to test and see if she messed up or something

[it's pretty well synched!]

Or maybe they just liked her performance but wanted better sound quality? D:
