Really? I was curious to get A BEST 2 15th anni for the remaster

For me I didn't notice the A BEST 2 remaster but A COMPLETE remaster was really significant to me

don't take my word for it though, other people could clearly notice the A BEST–A BEST 15th Anniversary difference, so go for it!

as for A COMPLETE, yes, in my case I could clearly sense the remaster as well as I do with A BEST 2. the tracks are "louder" too in both cases.

the difference from A BEST to it's 15th Anni is so huge. Out of all remasters she had, this was the most noticeable for me and made all of the songs more enjoyable.

I couldn't stop playing "immature" today - it would be great to have a 20th anniversary version with redone synths or real instruments.

Oh yes... LOVEppears is my favorite Ayu album. It's one of those where every song is so timeless, yet nostalgic? Songs like And Then, immature, too late, appears, monochrome, LOVE ~Destiny~...

LOVEppears, together with MY STORY and RAINBOW are easily Top 3 Ayu albums for me

Yeah! I really love the vibe of the album. And it is truly distinct from the first album, which is sometimes hard to do.

It also makes sense to me that A Song For Xx was skipped over. It really wasn't until Loveappears that she really became "Ayumi Hamasaki", the huge, mega superstar.
Were you a fan during that time? Do you remember what the atmosphere with fans was like during the release? I only became a fan after UNITE!.

^ yeah that‘s an interesting question... I became a fan right after Desrest but I didn’t had the chance to get all the atmosphere vibes until the release of Secret...

I am a fan from A BEST era.
During year 2001, her popularity spread not only in japan, but also all over the world. I mostly get more of her album at Malaysia. I guess in Japan, it's almost impossible not to hear about Ayu during year of 2000. She was working like crazy. Maximum exposure at ads, CM, billboard, charts, merchandise. Everything she touched became gold. Even KOSE brand lipstick sales soared when she became the spokesperson.

But I am amazed to still find a few of her original CD at Pontianak, a small town at West Borneo. The rest are bootleg VCDs.

I got her LOVEppears album from my Taiwan Cousin, though.

And downloaded her new releases, videos through dial ups 64kbps streaming.
What an era.

I’m a bit annoyed that this isn’t a blue ray release...
I just realized it now lol.

I just watched the fly high vid and like, it’s funny to see how that fashion is all trending again. I’m so happy 2000s fashion is having a renaissance. The AI, robot, cold future aesthetic is maybe my favorite.

You're so knowledgeable about her career I would have thought you were a fan since Nothing from Nothing, haha!

haha, no I was just that obsessed. I was living in Japan in the mid-90s, so I saw Namie's very early career, but not Ayu's.

It’s really such a random bonus lol

At first I thought, maybe at the initial release, people who purchased the album were given those special bags, and they were recreating it.

But since nothing like that’s mentioned, and I’ve never seen such a bag on auction, I suppose that’s not the case lol.

I really like the design, but I don’t think that paper is a good choice for material.
You can use it 2-3x and than it’s destroyed...
