This...seriously the cookie cutter karaoke ballad trend needs to DIE ALREADY.

Also, Cantonese inflection does sound a bit strange to me, but only since I began to learn Mandarin. Before then, I couldn't always hear the difference. Now I wonder how I could have possibly gotten them confused.

Some HK artists who also sing in Mandarin do their best work in Cantonese though.

I listen to Mandarin Pop mostly, like Jolin, Jay Chou, Jam Hsiao, A mei etc... they all have good music
but Cantonese Pop - OMG, I love Eason Chan <--------------- he is actually the only cantonese-speaking artist i listen to. One of my all-time favorite singers. <333 his music is VERY good~~!

I understand some mandarin, and i know only like 3 words in cantonese. My favourite chinese singers are Angela Chang and Stephanie Cheng, one is from Taiwan, the other one from HK... Well, i don't know, i guess i have more mando songs in my library, because i also listen to mainland china music. So i choose mandopop.
