heh you'd be surprised how many people own them these days and how much they're will to pay for vinyls..
And Avex are putting out more and more AYu vinyls. There were the Ayu Excerpts x 3, then there was the Ayu - M EP, and now this.. there is said to be another EP coming forth shortly on AVex UK but thats not confirmed.

i just picked up a few copies of the Connected vinyl if anyone is interested, send a PM through.

To whoever asked why they don't release a CD too (and anyone interested):

there was done this survey some time ago by the music industry and they found out that when independent labels, like Lightning and Drizzly are, released dance records both on vinyl and CD, the vinyls tended to outsell the CDs.

And fer crying out loud, N8 Dawg, you wouldn't scratch an Ayu record unless it was a scratchable one? Like one of her kooky mixes, I don't see scratching making it big time amongst trance deejays

another question for the vinyl collectors: Do you make mp3 from your LPs and if so how do you do it?

Yes you can!!! And people do.

You will need the appropriate hardware and software to do that, and voilá, you're ready to go!

The industry standard Technics 1210/1200 series go for about GBP700 for the pair, which goes to about 1100USD or so for the 2 turntables.

Add a decent mixer and you're at close to USD1500 for the set.

I use Wavelab, but alternatives include programs such as Soundforge and Cooledit, but wavelab is good.

trainspotter: i got them from ivibes store but i think they're sold out now.

I think the vinyl is more targeting on DJs instead of ordinary ayu fans. But i'll get one if I see this available in music store for collection purpose...hehe
:blue

I think that it will better if ayu's vocal be included into the connected (push dub mix).

WAVELAB???

Isn't that a bit drastic, I use that for editing of music

Well, if it works...didn't know you could use that. It seems like it has a lot of options that program!

Yea, if you connect your turntables via a mixer into the line-in slot on your PC you can get wavelab to record via there. pretty decent quality too.

trainspotter: you order from only-djs?! waaa.. that place has shipping costs which could bankrupt a millionaire! heh

ckwey: i think many see the vinyls as collectors items even if they can't play it and they do make pretty good placemats :p
