Her team is so unprofessional they had to chose:
- a fanmade design
- an horrendous one

I wish some fans and her team could understand that good design is also about sobriety.

tbh i am not really happy with the logo. but like everyone else said here, i wish Avex did do some compensation for the fan-designer or at least credit his name in the DVD booklet. (apparently they didn't last time)

one of my designer friends said, "if i were that PrinceSam, i will sue Avex." LOL

i like the logo, but the outcome of the logo seems so amateurish. I thought they would polish it to make it look more glam!

Seriously! the ori looked tacky and then her team took it and alter it a lil bit, it STILL looked as tacky as it it!

I love her fan made logos posted on AHS, wayyyyy grand ,pro, and glam to her standard. I never like what they posted over there.yeah true.

Uhh...NO.

I do NOT like Avex's decision of this "casino" logo that I criticized about...no no no. Already I criticized about how it does not fit the theme, and I'm showing my displeasure why they would still use that logo anyway.

Come on, Avex, we want something better than that, not something that resembles a casino!!!

nah, it's ok, since you have explained about prince sam being all happy coz his works got chosen again and not mind with the permission.. i'm not gonna ask him anymore..

There's a difference between being inspired by something and blatantly ripping it off. This is the latter.

That's what I wanted to say as well.
I mean, it's great they do look at fans works and such - but avex (or better, Ayu's team)just seems lazy and greedy here. The official logo is worse looking (saying cheaper, more amateur like) than the one from Prince Sam! And I don't speak about it being simpler, that's alright.
And for my personal taste it has much too much pink, but whatever.
It's just not right, no matter if he was contacted or not.

Exactly. This logo is going to be printed on hundreds of thousands of (millions of?) dollars' worth of merchandise. Inspiration my ass. They needed to ask his permission to use the logo, give him credit, and give him a percentage of the sales.

This incident is no different from places like Urban Outfitters stealing peoples' fanart and designs and printing them on their clothing. The tour merch should be pulled and an apology should be issued. Someone needs to be held accountable.

I can't believe this is happening all over again. I'm disgusted with her and her team right now.

Ayu is a multi-million dollar brand. I find it astounding that her marketing department cannot provide her with a top-notch creative/design team. She is in desperate need of new management.

My issue is--when deciding on the CDL name, didn't she have some type of idea in mind? "Cirque de Minuit" isn't something you just pull out of thin air. Did she just scrap whatever ideas she and her team may have had in favor of a fan made (completely unrelated) design? Because a circus is not a casino. When one thinks of a circus, they think of tents and mystery and clowns and elephants and fun and balloons. Not cards and dice.

Also, that golden poo smack dab in the middle...I mean come on now.
