Rough translation: Ayu's Glitter PV was voted as the 'favourite PV' between the month of May to August in the 《oricon style》magazine. It beaten hot favourites such as RIP SLYME's Nettaiya and Kuu's FREAKY. -------------- Japanese Queen Hamasaki Ayumi went to HK to shoot an MV with Shawn Yu, and the product won Oricon Style’s “My favourite MV” award from May till August. Shawn, who recently injured his eye, was very happy to hear that his collaboration is doing well. In order to promote her new song, “glitter”, Hamasaki Ayumi came to HK in the beginning of June to shoot the MV for this song. She invited Shawn to star as the male lead, and the two acted as lovers who weren’t shy about being intimate on camera. The MV was shown together as a short clip along with the music. Aside from having a full storyline, the short video seemed like a movie in itself, something which an MV has never achieved before. In the magazine’s poll, many praised the MV as elegant, saying that HK’s scenery was extremely beautiful. “glitter”’s MV beat RIP SLYME’s “Nettaiya” and Koda Kumi’s “FREAKY” to win the “My favourite MV” award. Shawn Yu, who is working with a female Japanese star for the first time, was glad to hear this good news. He even took time off to congratulate ayu. He also said that such Chinese-Japanese fusion styles are very refreshing, and that the experience was better than he expected. Credits: baba@ayunite | goku for translating ----------- yAy! I'm surprised... Congrats to Ayu ^^ :) |
glitter? OMG
I prefer talkin' 2 myself a million. |
lol. but glitter was a crap PV?
WTF... o.O
wha?! how's that possible....
As people said here before "The japanese might have a different taste from ours"
I think it's just fit here :o |
I thought it was cute, so good for her :)
Really? XD I wouldn't agree, but congrats to Ayu~
LOL How did this happen.
Still, it's good news~ |
japanese people are a little bit crazy....no doubt
A nice surprise!
wow. why? lol
Wow! I like the PV, so I think it's wonderful that she won that! GO AYU! Make those PVs, girl! Woot!
btw, it's just for the month or the year? |
glitter? or Kyo Ai? ^.^
ew
oh well, congratz ayu! |
well I am suprised that Glitter won, I prefered fated, but still great for Ayu, congrats

At least she made it. I'll bet it made her happy! :D
aww dang - this'll just encourage her!!
Japs seem to love the poppy songs, the PV isn't bad and its far from boring, plus it was more summery than most of the songs at the time were, and Ayu looked adorably pretty.Glad it did great.
Well, as people said. Japanese have different tastes.
well done Ayu. ^_^ it's good news in one regard, people still love Ayu |
doesnt matter, she won!!!! even if its glitter, its still her!!
Glitter was rather lame... even though, congrats to ayu ¡
I loved both the PV's, so I'm not shocked. :)
Cool! Go Ayu! :D
Well that is surprising..
I think Glitter is the worst pv of 2007 for ayu...anyway i'm happy for her XD
LMAO! WOW! An odd surprise.
Well... Maybe the japanese love the fact that it's not a "normal" PV, but more a mini movie... It proves that Ayu is still very famous.
Well i liked them, so I will agree. :yes
Go Ayu! Oh yeah, she's still got it. |
surprising, lol. congrats to ayumi.
Wat an unexpectable suprise =_="
everyone hates glitter PV, that makes more sense |
I don't hate at all but it's one of my fave PVs of the year. I do feel that the PVs were more ballad made than poppy made...but that's my opinion. Everyone is bashing glitter but maybe there was a "real" purpose to it than we think.:shrug Let's not forget that Ayu's pop and she makes pop PVs like glitter. Well, anyway, I'm happy that she got best PV...I think it was unbiased vote or....whatever! Congrats Ayu!
yeah we don't know what japanese like...so congrats to ayu for winning it...
thanks for the news
Nice, glitter wasn't that bad. fated was better though.
2007 PV's IMO part of Me > talkin' 2 myself > fated > decision > glitter XD!! |
Wow this is surprising, if you go on the Japanese iTunes and lock for the glitter PV you will see it's rated really low and there are lots of negative comments.
if glitter was a fav...think of how T2M will be >:D
/cackle |
great!!!
congrats to Ayu!! even though glitter isn't an amazing Pv, I still love it just because of this Spoiler:
Crap pv? God forbid she ever does anything different

Imagine her going back to her "Nothing for Nothing" era?! What a disaster!! @Ayu'kiss: :yes Those are cute faces!!! |
I think we should be happy ayu won something. ;D
^Ayumi always won something! Matter of fact, she wons something every year and it'll be over 10 awards thoughout the whole year. Ayu really tries to achieve something every year and for that I'm proud of her. *wipes tear from my eye* lol
I love that PV [glitter]. I think the t2m PV is boring. I only like it because she infuses pop dancing into rock music. Most of the rock music PV's I see are all jumping up and down and no dancing.
yeah.. it was a PV about a cute couple.. probably can relate to many japanese couples? haha.. anyway congrats to ayu. hope that she can continue with such good PVs
Thanks for sharing the details!
Wow .... thats a surprise !!!
I kinda liked the PV. :D
Congrats to Ayu! Woop! ^^ |
I like Fated's PV - still great news!! ^^
It's official. The Japanese tastes of music and ours are in diametrically opposing directions.
it may not be her best, but its far her worst xD
Crongrants to Ayu |
There we go again, things people hate winning awards while good stuff failing. XD
Oh well, good work Ayu. :3 |
glitter isn't my favorite, but it's always nice to know ayu is still rocking japan. xD
thanks |
lol why not glitter AND fated? >.> That's sooo weird...maybe because of the date scenes? They were pretty cute.
oh good~
ookkkaaayyy...maybe its becuase of Shawn?o.o
I prefer Kuu's Freaky..-.- |
LOL wow =D I love glitter but this is amazing XD I thought it wouldn't do as well due to the fact it wasn't really aimed towards japan wit hall that hong kong stuff =) but go Ayu ^_^!
Yay, glitter, amazing PV. But um.. Nettaiya?! XD I've only seen a small clip, but... yeah... :P
BTW, why does everyone think that glitter is not good? o____o |
glitter??
congrat to ayu.. ^^ |
ohhh... japanese fans really have different tastes...
but well, congrats ayu! this might motivate her to film such PVs again in the future.... |

:love

Dude, glitter was cute and all, but its so half assed compared to her other stuff. Talkin to myself is way better.

I actually LOVE glitter. |
its really weird for me to read many opinion that you all tell here...
why you doubting ayu so much, she is winning something why don't we just say congrats and feel happy for her... what i read here, so many argument, critique, bad opinion, bad thought and many doubtful thing...are you still ayu fans?! i remember in the past (around 2002-2004), when she winning something, we just say congrats without any doubt and any comment...its really weird for me...why we keep complaining even when she win something...weird...weird...weird... |
awesome :) glitter deservse it ^^
waww congrat to glitter and ayu..
OMG glitter? Unbelievable. It suppose to be t2m. What a weird taste... those japs
Glitter pv gets thumbs from me. I love it. It's kind of romantic. :D

i loved glitter :D still do :d i like it more than talkin' 2 myself. the pv that is.
Congrats to Ayu!! (even though I like fated better :D)
glitter? O_o it was one of her most corniest. "fated" would've been a better choice... or t2m.

I know! I remember when glitter first came out. everyone was praising it XD and then now when t2m comes out, everyone is hating it XD We should find that thread one day and show them lol =P!
kekekeke i never fancied glitter. t2m showed the side of her that i liked more and missed. if it bothers you so much, go cry into your pillow.
