Wow, the best album in her history, huh? I don't think I'll take that statement too seriously. I haven't heard the album tracks yet, and only Microphone and Lady Dynamite of the PV songs in full, but I do not agree that it is the BEST album EVER of hers... :rolleyes

Thanks for the translation! Ayu and her work-a-holi-cism!

SURREAL__RAINBOW 8th April 2010 10:14 AM

wow

she really likes this album and tour!!

thanks for this!! :)

She probably doesn't think of anything before 2004 when she talks about albums. I don't think she really cares about her older works all that much, haha.

nanakopy87 8th April 2010 10:20 AM

i think she's very satisfy with this album.well, her taste might different from ours.some might think this is her worst album XD
haha.but i think some minority people will think so

She says that about pretty much every new album, no matter how good it really is.

freedreamer 8th April 2010 10:21 AM

You cant really say that her comment is invalid when you look back and put yourself in her shoes...and really take a look at the production process (London, 4 PVs, many recording times) and her thoughts when she was singing, her emotions when she was writing...I think as fans, we only scratch the surface of an album and that is the song MELODY itself. If you arnt an artiste, I think you'll never understand what goes behind the scenes. For Ayu, this might be THE album that she has felt the most for. And we cant question that because we are NEVER gonna be Ayu. She has had 12 years of doing stuff...she knows what its like to have done every album. So, if she feels its her best, then I salute her for that.

undoubtedly call the best album I've produced in the entire time I was known as Hamasaki Ayumi.
she didnt say..the best sounding album or whatsoever

As for the tour...I.CANT.WAIT. Ít's gonna be an eyefeast im sure. BUT im keeping my imagination to a limit. SURPRISE ME AYU!

Tasked 8th April 2010 10:24 AM

whahaha. she ALWAYS calls her latest album 'the best ever'... in this case, she's actually kind-of right...

ayumisrael 8th April 2010 10:27 AM

I agree with her with the best album statement (except that LOVEppears is still my favorite). :D

She really seems very satisfied, it's great. ^^

love in music 8th April 2010 10:29 AM

I recall her being excited about the releases of her albums, but I don't think she has ever said an album was the "best in the entire hamasaki ayumi album history". I'm glad she's proud of it, it's an awesome album. I'm not sure if it'll be MY favorite album of hers though (miss)understood is so hard to top! I'm even more excited about the tour now, I wonder what she'll do!

I totally agree.
It really bugs me when Ayu says such and such is awesome/the best and people don't like it and pretty much call her a liar.

I'm glad she's so happy with the album and this tour sounds like it's gonna rock.

And happy 12th anniversary Ayu, thank you for always putting out you're thoughts and feelings for your fans! :)

jpopfan018 8th April 2010 10:31 AM

Ayu doesn't say the same statement for all her albums... She once commented that I am... could be a better album, RAINBOW was rushed and GUILTY was produced during the period when she lack the motivation to complete the production. It was also reveal in a previous interviews that only albums that ayu is satisfied with gets a tour in promotion of it. (MY STORY, (miss)understood, Secret, NEXT LEVEL)

"the best album I've produced in the entire time I was known as Hamasaki Ayumi" - I have a feeling she's calling every new album like that. I hope she hasn't forgot about older, most succesive albums.

So many years have passed by... Years of hard work and passion. I wish you another great years in a music business and in a private life, Ayu. Glad you're happy now. :heart
