Condition of your A BEST 2 -WHITE- album

i bought this album just as soon as it released... but it turned yellow~~

how is your album doing now? same condition as mine?

kendelle 13th April 2010 03:20 PM

You mean the booklet yellowed or the casing?

Mine was second hand from Dora's store and I've had it for about a year but it's not discoloured or anything. Is it possible it's been exposed to too much sunlight or moisture? Heat from the sun could lead to some ageing of the plastic if it was very hot and was over a few days in a row...it's happened with other non-Ayu albums I had!

waterballoon 13th April 2010 03:25 PM

mine has yellowed a little too

Meat Pao 13th April 2010 03:27 PM

From my own personal experiences, if it is not exposed to too much sunlight it may be due to the quality of the paper... my Singapore press of Namie Amuro's PLAY became yellow within a few months, but when I went to Japan and bought the album until now it is still as white as ever. Same goes for your case I guess :shrug

EDIT: My SG Press of A BEST 2 -WHITE- has also yellowed slightly but my Japan press like I've mentioned is still as white as ever.

Bad Wolf 13th April 2010 03:27 PM

huh. mine's fine -- still white, i mean.

but i think it's a bootleg ._.

waterballoon 13th April 2010 03:29 PM

seems like the Japan press have better quality in the booklet paper and casing...

asmAyumi1992 13th April 2010 05:28 PM

Mine is still white. But it seems gonna be yellow at any time. But the photobook, is just fine white. I just keep the photobook in the case. so, it's still looks good to me.

ayumisrael 13th April 2010 05:31 PM

Mine is still WHITE.

The theory about the paper's quality is probably true since I have japan's version...

It's not A BEST 2 -YELLOW- xD

rainydayumi 13th April 2010 05:43 PM

maybe once it turns yellow the cover and tracklist will magically change :D we can hope!!

mines still white though, but i guess its because its the japan version.

gallowsCalibrator 13th April 2010 05:49 PM

Mine is still fine~ It's new (as far as I know, anyway (O_O) maybe not XD) and hasn't yellowed...

Suteisi 13th April 2010 06:05 PM

Mine is still white, it's also inside a plastic sleeve to protect it~

AngelSenshi 13th April 2010 06:06 PM

I don't own that album, but in my experience, it has usually been sun damage that turns the boxes, and sometimes a certain type of printed paper, a sort of yellow colour.

miroro 13th April 2010 06:21 PM

mine is white still, and i bought it when it was released
perfectly white :laugh

Keiichi_JPU 13th April 2010 06:24 PM

Mine is still 100% white, Japanese press.

What kind of press do you have, if I may ask? And have you exposed it to conditions such as sunlight or heat?

LacusClyne 13th April 2010 06:26 PM

the paper quality matters too.

what version is your copy?

i notice that my Singapore press's the booklet tend to turn a color for a certain period, but my JP versions' booklets are still perfect, even those 2nd hand discs that i bought, which were release like 1999/2000, they are still in their original color

chloeM 13th April 2010 06:56 PM

the code is AVTCD... Taiwan press maybe??

it's only the cover that turned yellow... it hurts me to see it~~~

AyumiBest 13th April 2010 09:38 PM

Mine is still really white and its HK press. :D

Michan 13th April 2010 09:41 PM

^ Mine is HK first press too =D. And still the same as it was when released. In other words, it's still whie and beautiful *_*

Tony G 14th April 2010 01:47 AM

It depends if the CD has been left in sunlight or a really bright room.

AVT's HK press , Chloe

Taiwan press starts with AVJ for the catalogue no.

you should check who manufacture it , avex asia (HK) or Warner Music S'pore or Malaysia

for my copy , it's S'pore press but Warner S'pore used the same catalogue no. as HK press

& oh over the colouring of your album , yes my SG presses of avex artistes's material also turned yellow after a while

that didn't happened for SG presses of Sony BMG's material that I have though
