Hello all!!

Some of you may recall the thread I posted a thread a while back. Well, here's an update for you:

I haven't managed to pick a particular Ayu song but what I've done is play a few different ones, including Rock n Roll Circus (lol) as I've gone about my daily routines. I often hum Ayu songs or sing lines that I know so we'll see come August or later whether or not our unborn baby remembers or seems to take comfort from listening to any of the songs.

I have noticed when I play an Ayu song at a volume he may be able to hear, he seems to move around a bit more which is pretty cool.

Anyway, wish us luck :) We've got 9 weeks left and hopefully then we'll have our little boy in our arms.

I just finished a semester in Child Development Psychology this year and I learned that this theory is true :). Unborn babies are able to hear their environment (it's a survival skill they pick up so they can identify their mother by her voice when they're born). As a result, if a repetitive melody is played over and over, they will be able to identify it the same way the identify their mother's voices.

Good luck with your new baby and hopefully he/she becomes an Ayu fan too :D!

It will be awesome, in the future you can tell your child about how big of a fan you were of Ayu, and surely your child will take after you, at least in appreciating the music because it has so much sentimental value to you all now. It's lovely!
