iTunes Question

Okay, so all of my music is completely unorganized. I'm thinking about organizing it neatly, but this would require me to move the files. If I move them, they'll no longer be connected to iTunes.

I know I could delete my library and then re-add the songs all at once, but then my play counts will be reset, and I really don't want them to be. I also don't want to individually redirect every song's path, 'cause that'd be super annoying.

So I guess my question is, is there some way that iTunes can like, automatically find each song after I move its location? Helppp!

File > Library > Organize Library

It copies all files and moves them to "My Music" > "iTunes" and then makes a folder for each artist and album based on your tags.

It doesn't delete the original files though, so you'll have to do that after the process is done.

Are you sure it won't mess it up somehow? D: Will it cause my music to take up double the space?

And if I move the files after, won't the path be broken? Sorry I sound super paranoid. xD

yes.i means it will copy another copy to your C drive.so,after itunes copy them to c drive, you can now delete the folder you originally saved the music folder because they are now connected to the new folder's songs.if you are afraid if it does not work, you can try amorphose's method first.then, rename your orginal folder to other names.if your songs are still playable, means its linked to the new destination folder
