When fans waiting in line for the S.M. Town Live 2010 World Tour in front of the Staples Center, Los Angeles, looked up at the sky, they were surprised to see the banners ```Relive S.M. Town at ALL K-POP.COM’’ trailing from a group of airplanes, The Korea Times' sister paper Sports Hankook reported Monday.

Arranged by North American fans of a popular K-pop website, the special event this past Saturday signaled the start of the anticipated concert organized by SM. Entertainment, one of the biggest pop music agencies in Korea.

More than 15,000 fans made up the audience, including Hollywood actor Jack Nicholson. Along with the vivid costumes and music offered by the singers, the stage presentation was an impressive backdrop for the equally impressive S.M. star line up. According to S.M. Entertainment, the 3D images were created by the team that worked for the hit movie ``Avatar.’’

i wish sometime a-nation will go international too...

visionfactory 7th September 2010 07:22 PM

15,000 people @_@ that's a lot more fans than Utada has in USA right?

Polyrhythm 7th September 2010 09:12 PM

No, Utada has at least 35,000 fans according to the sales of her last US albums....but that's totally irrelevant to this thread is it not? :rolleyes So no, I don't think Utada has less than 15,000 fans....but if you're comparing who has more fans, Utada or Sm Town artists....well the winner is obvious. Utada is a nobody in the US basically.

And yes, a-nation please.

Or avex to at least so some kind of concert special thing like this for people outside of asia.

sigh, I wish they would come to my country, you're doing "World Tour" wrong SM -_- ..
But oh well the artists/fans had fun and the concert tickets weresold out even tho they looked hella expensive :)

@visionfactory. That wouldn't be a fair comparison since SM TOWN has many different artists and Utada is just one person =\

Irrelevant... xD But 15,000 is probably about the amount of people that attended "In The Flesh." There were 8 US shows and the venues ranged from a capacity of 1,000 to 2,500. All the shows were sold out too.

Anyway, about SM TOWN. I really wanted to go. :( I ended up not being able to make it though. I'm glad it was a success though because now maybe some of these artists will launch US tours or maybe SM TOWN will continue to be in America in the years to come!!! :D

But I think it's different because Utada did different concerts in small venues unlike SM TOWN..... I mean they did one live and fill a whole stadium, that's impressive - at least for me

I was at the show. It was awesome. It was 4 hours of non-stop music. At the end, I was exhausted.

AyUta 11th September 2010 01:33 AM

Wow, amazing! I wish a nation would go international too, or... I just wish I could go to SM live :laugh.
