she is just sleeping. Remember she said that at that time she sometimes didn't had a sleep for some days

yeay I remember when they were on the way and after her staff couldn't wake her. so maybe it's something like this. Or maybe she was ill. But I don't believe that she's drugged there.

She was extremely tired people, her staff could not wake her so they carried her inside.

She is asleep, because it was a very exhausting time for her back then.
I hate to watch her like this. It hurts! ;.;

She really worked hard back in 1999-2000, often not sleeping for a few days at a time. Naturally, when she did sleep she'd have been almost impossible to wake.

After 10 years she's better used to it (she seems to run on 2-4 hours sleep a night these days) but it's not really natural and very very difficult to train your body into being able to run on that little rest..... :(

yeah, she looks and sounds totally exhausted. atleast her body is used to the stress of her job now, even though it's still unhealthy. :(

Exhaustion. Her work load must've been very new and overwhelming to her back in the day. Can't rule out that she was going through a rough time emotionally either.

At one point, Ayu said "I understand, I understand, just wait, just wait." when she was lying on the chair (>o<) Poor Ayu! And rubbing her eyes as she says it... (;_; )

She was just sooo exhausted; I don't blame her at all, those were really really tough times.
