I know there are many favorite-threads but some of them are old and I haven't yet found one which lists everything.

BEST ALBUM: Secret

I really anticipated and hyped this album a lot when it came out. It's style is refreshing, new and easy to listen. The booklet is one of the bests, I love the glam look and the jewelry. Also the wintery tracks (JEWEL, momentum) are nice and I always associate this album with winter and Christmas.


BEST REMIX: ourselves x STONEBRIDGE (Ayu-mi-x 6: GOLD)

There were so many great remixes to choose from... But this is my fav, it's simple but it works, and it's great to listen in a car.


BEST INTERLUDE/INTRO: The Judgement Day

It's different from the other interludes, dramatic and epic. And it does it's job well as diving GUILTY into two parts.


BEST CONCERT: ARENA TOUR 2006: (miss)understood

Again, there were many amazing concerts to choose from but this one is a classic to me. It has some of the best outfits (like evolution) and funny extras.


BEST COVER:
ALBUM: NEXT LEVEL
It's so modern and vibrant, and I love the positioning of the texts. Also her expression is gorgeous. Sexy and confident.

SINGLE: glitter/fated
The dress, the water and Hong Kong on the background... magical! She's like a mermaid in urban city, touching and sharp at the same time.


BEST NAILS: STEP you
I chose something I would wear myself. I love the combination of black & silver, I think I'll try making these nails someday. Party~

this album has so much variety, and it contains a lot of her best songs.


BEST REMIX: blossom (clockwork yellow mix)
this is one of my favorite remixes ever. it completely changed the feel of the original song and made it into an awesome, hot, dance track. this is how remixes should be done.

A big problem I have with japanese concerts is the lack of energy and audience interaction... it's always she singer punching up and screaming some random stuff and people doing the same on the audience... Ayu always managed to make the audience go wild (by japanese standarts), and on this tour, she really makes it seen like it's not a j-pop concert...

I have always been in love with this remix, in my opinion, its one of her best remixes.

1. M (why: this song has always been amazing to me and despite what many people say i do not find it overrated at all! ayu's voice is so emotional. i also just love the musical buildup to the exploding chorus at the end. great lyrics to!)
2. Born to be... (why: this song is just so incredible i cried upon first listen. it's a pounding song and is the theme of humanity in my opinion. plus, the Asia Tour 06 ~(miss)understood~ live version sealed the deal! i cried watching that on YouTube to. i would love to see this live!)
3. About You (why: the lyrics. i could literally listen to this one song all day just for the lyrics. ayu's voice is also real nice and powerful in this song as well. it's almost angry sounding which i like.)
4. Rule (why: this was one of my first ayu songs and i still adore it! really awesome and just carries you through the whole song. plus, that guitar solo is the shiz!)
5. A Song for XX (030213 Session take #2) (why: this version is just... wow. amazing! again, her voice is very powerful here. i love how it's a more rock-ish version of "A Song for XX".)

BEST ALBUM: GUILTY (why: this was my first ayu album and i still love it to pieces! that rock-pop flavor mixed with her emotional singing/lyrics is the recipe for perfection!)

BEST REMIX: SURREAL (Thunderpuss RADIO) (why: BATTLE THEME RIGHT HERE. it sounds like a battle theme to me... i always imagine a epic battle taking place for some reason... Thunderpuss really has done a astounding job with this song... according to my iTunes it's actually my number 1# most played ayu song ever! and my 5# most played song ever!)

BEST ~ALBUM~ COVER: Rock *n* Roll Circus (why: the outfit makes this cover! the hat and whole getup is just so cute! i love it... *_* i would seriously wear that outfit to school, no joke. plus, i love ayumi's hair here for some reason... perfection!)

BEST SINGLE ~COVER~: UNITE! (why: the way she's laying with the sun shining radiantly behind her is just so beautiful and serene! love forever!)

BEST NAILS: Memorial Address NAILS (why: dude, dangly stars! that is epic and unique. i find it cute to! must be hard to walk around with those on though, lol...)

I cannot decide which one's my favourite ever. My always favourite was Duty only, but lately I found MY STORY much more perfect thant I thought.
I just love them both with all of my heart :heart.

The songs all flow, plus the overall "loss of love" theme really resounded with me.

People might say it's overrated, but i think it's her best remix by FAR.

It's so mysterious, but turns fun and almost soothing.

It was the first "grand" tour, where the stage, the costumes, the mini movies were introduced. it was all coherent and some clothes were to DIE for (the HAPPY ENDING dress :love)!


BEST COVER:
ALBUM: RAINBOW

The whole concept matches: the music is poppy, ethereal at times, vibrant, and varied. The whole blue makes it look serene, and the color in her hair is pretty.

I really don't like H as a single, but the cover looks really cool, especially the pink and green versions!
