I thought this was a joke tbh when I first heard about it.

She's a bit too young imo to try and be a popstar.

Keri Hilson hasn't gone anywhere since that song last hear with Kanye and Neyo...lol. Her album didn't do so well. She's OK though.

It's a really interesting song, I guess. I find the "I whip my hair back and forth" parts really annoying. Her voice is really great though. She definitely has talent.

But she's really young, and if I were her parents, I'd tell her to wait a few years so she can grow up a little more. Also, starting so young in the entertainment industry, it's really difficult to later grow into a more mature image, you know? Like Miley Cyrus is having that problem right now.

It annoys me though that there are great artists out there, who will never land a record deal, while Will Smith's 9-year old daughter gets first place in the recording studio.

I really like it, its catchy! People need to stop hating on a nine year old. Life gave her a huge advantage, she would be stupid not to make something of it. I would say she is a tad young, though.

I don't know if I'd be comfortable dancing to a song by a nine year old rapping about partying and being the ****, haha.

I doubt that they are taking this as seriously as everyone else in the world. Just because she releases a song doesnt really mean much. She's nine lol In any case, I don't think it's *that* unfair that other more *talented* artists aren't getting deals while she gets one...it's more likely that she doesn't even have one and that they spent thousands of their own dollars on this song...

and even if she does have one...can you really blame a label for giving her a deal when they KNOW people are going to pay attention to her, and that she will definitely be famous for the rest of her life? If I was a label, I'd jump on that money maker.

Labels are businesses. There is talent all over the place. You need more than that.

But anyway, I don't actually see her as entering the industry, more just like dabbling.

Just like Utada did when she was young.

Honestly, if I could go into a studio and make an album and continue my life at the same time, I'd do it too.

She's not really following the same path as an aspiring popstar just yet...so I think we can chill lol

Exactly. Like marketability. Those who love the Smiths already will jump all over this song. Will is one of the highest paid actors in the industry, his daughter will make any label some serious bank.

Hell, someone could be totally untalented, a label wouldn't care. Money is the bottom line, for most labels, anyway.

but it didn't seem to me like it was anything serious...it seemed like, her brothers are doing acting, and she wanted to do singing.

That's why like...I don't really think of it in that way like, they're trying to market ***** her out already...although, it's gonna seem like that anyway lol
