Countdown Live 2010-2011 - WILLER EXPRESS?

So, I just came across this when I was browsing YAJ just now:

anyone have any idea what this is? It seems to be a mobile phone device/add on, but it doesn't really specify what its purpose would be:

Wasn't there an advertisement in Japan where you could take a special shuttle bus to go to Countdown Live? I remember reading this somewhere... because they wanted fans from around Japan to be able to go to Tokyo for the show if they got tickets. So it's not just limited to Tokyo areas... or something like that...

Not 100% sure but maybe it's related to that?!

It looks like a solar charger~

Earth_maiden 6th January 2011 04:40 PM

@ Neffy - oh yeah, I remember that. But I wanna know what it does, and what it has to do with a mobile phone... :D

Like emiko said, I'm pretty sure that's a solar charger for your phone although I have no clue about how to work it, I've never seen one in real life xD

Energist 6th January 2011 07:24 PM

It's a solar charger for Softbank phones.

When I was in Tokyo last April, these solar chargers were really popular. Given her previous endorsements for Softbank (and unofficial iPhone endorsements) last year, branding a solar charger isn't probably isn't too far off message. :)

That said, I have my doubts that the chargers actually work.

Orijinarusorachaja
orijinaru = original
sora = solar
chaja = charger

lol. yay for figuring it out on my own before reading any post in this thread besides the first one!

It's like any other solar charger. You slap it on the back of your phone, and leave it for the sun to charge it with it's light.

emi♡ 10th January 2011 06:56 AM

lol did anyone else realise that it actually says "solar charger" in the corner? :laugh

I didnt~

brener 10th January 2011 07:08 AM

omg. i didnt even know things like that exists

I actually have one since I took the Willer bus and got the package that included this. I thought they'd have a voucher but instead, those who did get the bus package with the free charger just had to give their name. The FOMA charger works for both Softbank and DoCoMo phones but there was a different one for AU users. The charger was also sold exclusively through Willer for 1,800yen for less than a week.
The charger is convenient but takes a while to fully charge. It is a strap-style charger, and does not stick to your phone or anything. According to the packaging, it will last for about 500 full charges.

Wont your phone heat up with that thing by the sun O.o
