I remember something happened between them after what ayu stopped performing at their show.

they made offensive jokes about ayu. I heard they asked her once "Why do you speak so slowly? Can you speak faster?". ayu didn't like the way they treated her so she decided not to appear at their show again.

I think we need to check those old videos from Utaban.

like she wants to double check what she is going to say before saying... I always found it amazing... the concentration that she gives the people she is talking to...

poor Ayu, some of those shows are really like hella mean I mean the hosts of them....I guess only GACKT actually can handle all those kinds of TV shows because he's one good evil man himself...lol

HEY!HEY!HEY! does this same sort of thing with Ayu too and sometimes they even smack her on the head, haha. I guess the hosts of Utaban must have said something on/off camera that didn't sit well with her.

Sounds like a show that uses heavy satire or the hosts are just dicks. Either way if she didn't like them or the show, I respect her for saying no and not putting up with anything. Heck, she's Ayu, why wouldn't she do that...

Utaban is a really funny show, particularly when they have MM/H!P groups on. Anyways Ishibashi Takaaki can be really mean in a humorous way, but that's just his way of comedy. He's really honest and deep down, he's a nice guy. He's actually one of those people who is nicer off camera than on camera, I think. It's all for laughs, and he does a great job. I understand why some people might not like his style of humor, but typically those are the uptight ones who need to lighten up a bit.

Nakai from SMAP, on the other hand, I don't like so much...he seems somewhat fake and arrogant, not NEARLY as witty, intelligent and funny as Taka-san, but he can be funny too.

I don't blame Ayu for not wanting to put up with that sort of stuff, she's so far into her career that she doesn't have to really..

^ Actually this issue isn't recent, this is from like 1999, near the beginning of her career. They had her on for her her avex debut single "Poker Face" and I think her last appearance was "Appears".

Oh, I have never heard of this before, but it's awful.
Making fun of people, because they speak slowly. I mean, what the... This at least shows that Ayu thinks about what she says unlike certain other people in the showbiz!

But it's great that Ayu stood up for herself. She really is a strong and independent woman.
