how long are ayu's concerts?
soooo i'm studying abroad in japan for this year :D and you know, being a hardcore ayu fan, i had to buy a ticket. :D :D :D it's amazing, just imagining. i've been waiting for this for the last eight years and it's finally happening, i can't even believe it.
but anyway. i need to know how long her concerts typically run, particularly the HOTEL LOVE SONGS/POWER of MUSIC tour, as i may have a conflict with a school event the next day, and i need to plan train schedules and such~ (i'm going to the 9/30 in osaka btw, anyone else going? :D ) |
Awww man I was going to go to that concert but can't anymore :'( Where are you studying abroad? That venue is pretty cool because it is right next to Osaka Castle :D

This PoM concert lasts about 3 hours, but you need to be prepared for delays. Sometimes the concert starts on time, mostly there's a 5-10 mins delay, but there were a few times when there was a delay of more than half an hour.
Also, if you're planning to go queue for goods, considered your entire day gone. :P But that's only if you are planning to buy those really popular goods, otherwise, most of the merchandise will still be available for sale after the concert ends. I normally buy goods then because there's no queue and you can get your goods in 10 minutes, as opposed to waiting in line for hours before the show. ;) Have fun!! This tour is truly amazing! ^^ |

NEXT LEVEL AT09, is the one I went to, and it also lasted about 3 hours. My friend that came with me had school that day, but she left earlier than normal with her teacher's permission to get there early otherwise she wouldn't have been able to make it on time. There are also other goods sold AFTER the concert. Mostly they are unofficial goods, but these were just as exciting as the official ones! I stood around the booths looking at all the stuff they had and bought some necklaces and phone straps there too! So you can allow yourself some time after the show to browse through those as well. There's tons of really cool stuff! But there was a BIG crowd too, I had to push my way through to get to the front and purchase things. edits:: I went to the show in Tokyo, so I don't know if there will be unofficial goods in Osaka also? |
wow! 3 hours!
I thought it was like 2 hours or 2.5 hour... gosh, she's really hard-working one! |
3 hours?? it's a very long show..!

i'm studying at the Japan center for Michigan universities in Hikone, Shiga. kind of the middle of nowhere but it's gorgeous at least lol, and close enough to Kyoto and Osaka for day trips.
i was super excited when the tour got postponed, too, because i wasn't here in the spring :D the osaka date is the closest and most convenient for me, so this is shaping up to be a dream so far <3 i actually almost cried when i bought the ticket. and oh my god, three hours :luv2 amaaaazing. |
you're so lucky!! we'll wait for your report :D
|
Congrats! Please enjoy and take many pics!

Your very luck! On an offtopic note, how did you afford Study Abroad?

I think Misa already mentioned all the crucial information.:)
Regarding the goods, I also wanted to buy my goodies before the concert started, just as Suteisi. It's part of the experience but most of all (for me), I buy it FOR the concert, to be part of the shiny cheerful crowd:laugh. And so that I have a memory, like I can say "I wore this shirt during the concert" and stuff. Even though you have to wait in those lines around 40 to 60 minutes, it's really cool. Have lots of fun at the show!! POWER of MUSIC is a really awesome and special concert (saw it in July this year.:heart). Please write a report for us afterwards ;) I would like to know how the show changed from back when I saw it. And by the way, it's so cool that you can stay in Japan for your studies.:D |
oh yeay how Luja. said. It's great to have the Uchiwa or something to cheer Ayu and all the dancers and musician on. It's so nice to be part of the pink crowd.
Enjoy it as much as you can! That's the best thing and let us know if she'll sing beloved. Wooow I'd kill for hear it live. |
When I went to R'nR Circus, I think I left like.... 2 hours before it started mostly because I was all excited to get there (even though I lived like.... only half an hour away) and had plenty of time to buy tons of stuff and sit around for a while and I want to say the concert was 3 or 3.5 hours? Me and my friend I went with had time to walk from Yoyogi Stadium afterwards to the Don Quihote in Shibuya, wander around there for a while, then go sit and drink in the middle of Takeshita-dori for a while and still catch the last trains home.
The concert doors opened at 5 and the concert started at 6. They pretty much plan the concert times so people can catch trains home afterwards with plenty of time since not as many people would go if they were stranded until the next morning haha. (Also, because I'm a WONDERFUL influence; Just skip school the next day hahahaha ) |
