I got this magazine article from 1995. It's about the NOTHING FROM NOTHING album. Maybe somebody wants it. ^^
Spoiler:
|
i bet they had no idea how huge Ayu would be. :P
|
^ Surely not! :D Anyway, thanks for sharing, I appreciate old stuff like this.
|
the record company is kicking themselves for letting go of one of the biggest J-Pop artist
|
Awh, this is too cute :heart Thanks for sharing!
@JackieRos: Aah, but if Max hadn't suggested Ayu write her own lyrics her music career could of been very different~ |
she looks so cute :3
|
This is quite an amazing find! I hope someone will translate it! If nothing else those young pictures are so cute!
|
Thank you very much!
|
awww she looks so happy and excited!
thank you for sharing! ;) |
So cute!
Thanks for sharing! |
This is so rare. Awesome. She looks like a gangsta here and behaves a lot like who she is which is a good thing. :) I bet Nippon Columbia's bosses got depressed at once when they saw Ayu hitting the top spot with almost every release lol. XD
|
lol early bad ass ayu~~
But if she had stayed with them, she probably would never have been popular. |
Awesome!! Is anyone going to translated it?
All her old work... was she a model because she needed to be, and became an idol as a fallout... or did she just simply want to be famous? I wonder how different the dreams of the "NOTHING FROM NOTHING" & idol Ayumi Hamasaki are to what she felt after she became "Ayu" with A Song for xx... Her early career is so mysterious. |
Woah, that's such a rare article! :thud
Early Ayu always shock me though. I cannot still believe she released a rap/hip-hop/whatever it is single :laugh. And then look at Ayu now, she's one of the biggest female singer in Japan. |

if only the video was recorded SOMEWHERE :(
Thank you though! Very rare find haha Omg I just realized that in the video screen cap, she was using a different kanji for her name O_o... I never, ever knew that she used a different kanji hahaha (she used 﨑 instead of 崎) I'm pretty sure this isn't new...but it is to me xD |
Wow, thank you so much for scanning this! Great find! Would love to read a translation. :)
You can see that Ayu has always loved fashion. Look at the nails and all the accessories. :D |

Idol on Stage performances had this as well. Hamasaki (浜崎 (same as now)) Kurumi (くるみ) in 1993. Quote:

^ I never understood why she used Kurumi as her name :yrolleyes
