Melody is great!

I remember being kind of lukewarm about it when it came out originally, but holy crap, I am falling back into love with Melody. It's probably one of the strongest tracks on LOVE again. Is it just me though? I feel like I tend to like tracks that have not much a fanbase, haha.

terra 2nd October 2013 03:42 AM

I also love Melody. It's kinda warm and bittersweet, but the music reminds me of her usual album track like meaning of Love and such nonetheless it's really sweet. I honestly love this more than Ivy lol

Another fan of Melody here!
Since LOVE came out, I thought Melody was my favourite between the other songs.
And I haven't changed my mind. :P
Looking forward to a performance of it~

I've always loved Melody since LOVE came out. :luv2

truehappiness 2nd October 2013 08:18 AM

I just love the 'classic' Ayu feel to the song. It feels like something she would have come out with around ASFXX/LOVEppears imo.

Yoake 2nd October 2013 08:45 AM

^Yes, Melody is really Ayu classic.

Since the first listening when she sang it at HLS concert, I like it. It's really a sweet songs.

Melody was my favorite track on LOVE and is one of my favorites on LOVE again. I've always really liked it. It embodies the LOVE again feeling, in my opinion.

kagami 2nd October 2013 09:12 AM

I love it too! It makes me feel all warm inside and her voice is so smooth and lovely <3

xLuna&1LOVE 2nd October 2013 09:33 AM

I like Melody too! It has not really its best vocals, but it's such a sweet song!

Mirrorcle Monster 2nd October 2013 09:53 AM

Indeed it is a great song. I feel like if LOVE again would have been released 5 years before: with 2008 budget, great PVs etc would have been considered amazing, because music-wise it is epic. I already imagine the era:

Single:「You&Me/Missing」
Single: 「Song 4U/Tell All」
Digital Single: 「SAKURA」
Album: 「WAKE UP」
CD Tracklist:
1. Wake Me Up
2. Song 4 U
3. Bye-bye darling
4. Tell All
5. snowy kiss
6. glasses
7. Missing
8. Sweet Scar
9. petal
10. Ivy
11. task'n'bass
12. You & Me
13. SAKURA
14. Gloria
15. Melody

Tracks with PV
1. Wake me up
2. snowy kiss
3. Sweet Scar
4. petal
5. Melody

I wish more songs got PVs. Ayu doing an album where everything including interludes got PVs would be boss. (non-mini of course) Just once though.

What? :eek
Didn't she sing only a part of Song 4 u and Missing?
Or maybe she sang it another day? O_O

Urgh I wait for that day to come. I remember when Kuu even did Introduction to Kingdom PV and it was simple and gorgeous. I know maybe Ayu wants us to imagine song without PV by ourselves / by seeing lives but it'll be nicer to see her personal take on it :yes

jiarongisme 2nd October 2013 11:58 AM

Ahh yes. Ia with what truehappiness said about it sounding classic Ayu, that's exactly why I loved it from the start. It's kinda nostalgic, yet fresh at the same time. Kinda why I love beloved too. :yes

A preview with the PV was played in the arena before the show started.

^ Oh, I see.. I was dying! :dead2
I really really really hope that she will sing it soon~

pimenta 2nd October 2013 01:01 PM

I really like Melody, and I absolutely adore the piano version of it :heart

YuriChan 2nd October 2013 01:49 PM

I adore Melody! :heart

marty 2nd October 2013 05:35 PM

YES, I thought I was the only fan of it in the whole world, cause everyone just crushed it when it was out! XD
I love it so much. It's so emotional and yet so basic and delicate, it's just a touch of a song! <3 Like Ayu is kind of collected and mature and composed, and yet so intense when she's singing it! For me Melody is more intense than Song 4 U: it's at the same level as Untitled for her... story 2.

channy 2nd October 2013 10:43 PM

My play list of LOVE again on my MP3 device usually consists of only 14 tracks as I always exclude Melody. Apparently I dislike the refrain which, for the most part, sounds vastly tedious and long drawn-out to me.

Back then, I just wanted to make sure nothing would diminish the glorious joy I felt with that superb album. May grant it a second opportunity to amaze me, now that I read this thread, though.

haha same here, I was stanning for the song. I thought it was the best on the album while everyone else was going crazy for Missing, wich made me sad & alone that people dissliked it so much lol. I still really really adore it! surprisingly mainly for her vocals. it's totally my fave on the album. And it deffinitelly gave me the old Ayu feeling that i fell in love with years ago. ♥ It deserves to be sung live, i think it would make a really great closing song :)
