Ayu reference in Tales of Xillia?

And I'm not talking about progress or the Slt costume :P See if you can spot it:

Might be a coincidence, sure, but knowing that Ayu sang the theme for this game and its sequel, I like to think it's a sneaky little reference to her~ :yes

It would be nice, but I don't think so since its kinda a common saying with food.

Neko★munication 5th October 2013 04:36 AM

Is it really? I had wondered if that was the case but I'd honestly never heard those two words used as a common saying, at least not before Ayu's release :laugh, and even now a quick google search brings up pretty much the Ayu single. You could be right though :P

egg though? smh.

TeamAyu2004 5th October 2013 06:13 AM

I don't know... it might just be a southern thing?
I know in my severing jobs its used often with certain foods and drinks.

Neko★munication 5th October 2013 07:01 AM

^ Really? That's interesting :) I'm just going to pretend it's both and satisfy my inner Ayu fan ;)

If I'm not wrong, Kanbalar is nicknamed "Daybreak Citadel"

ExodusUK 5th October 2013 10:22 PM

Would have been if it was called "Egg Roll"

Kirshwasser 8th October 2013 11:04 AM

BOLD AND DELICIOUS !!!!!!!

Minttulatte 8th October 2013 12:55 PM

I think it's just a coincidence. :D

ayumisrael 8th October 2013 02:02 PM

Don't forget that it's also translated from Japanese so if it would be a reference to ayu then it would be in English also in the Japanese version.

It's probably the two japanese words that they translated for bold and delicious.

This is what I think as well.

...I definitely thought this was a reference to that ubiquitous song of hers, EGG.

That'll teach me to read before jumping to conclusions. :roflmao

pimenta 11th October 2013 12:13 AM

I don't know if it's a reference to her or not, but I laughed xD
