The 2nd time I went to see her in LA (Nov. 2010, during Love songs recording) we practiced the chorus of My All as we waited outside for her. I had gone to see AT2010 way too many times for my own good at that point so I taught everyone the dance and the lyrics, and I changed the ending part from "sore ga boku no negai desu" ("That's my wish") to "sore ga Ayu e no negai desu" ("That's my/our wish for Ayu"). We started singing and doing the choreo right as she came out of the studio and she was totally surprised...it was without a doubt one of the coolest moments of my life. :heart

It's not an ayu song actually - I'd request "ayumi (Steps)" by Aqua Timez. The song in general is about encouraging an insecure person with an independent streak to remain independent, and the lyrics remind me of how Ayu seems to feel about herself & her career.

Plus, y'know. The title. :P The name "ayumi" means walking one's own path and I think it's a name Ayu has always tried really hard to live up to, so whenever the "ayumi" concept comes up, it tends to remind me of her anyway.
