What releases should next year's 20th Anniversary include?
 

I guess a career spanning 2 disc (10 songs on each disc to make 20 over all) "A BEST for XX" (that's roman numerals for 20 and also a nod to ASFXX).

I wonder if she'll ever have other artists cover her songs -- like TRF, Globe, and Hikki did. That seems like something she could package with another best album.

That said, I'd rather some "new" stuff -- like unreleased demos, etc.

^ Second all of this. I'd love a tribute cover album also, so many amazing songs could be done for it, also old unreleased stuff is always great. Like having A BEST 3 and pairing it with an unreleased live, like A COMPLETE.

I'd love to see a tribute album, a new studio album with more than 12 tracks, a new remix album (house, trance, eurobeat and orchestra), a couple of physical singles and a new best album.

I'd love a tribute album as well. TRF and globe had their tribute albums released for their 20th anniversaries, so it might even be likely that Ayu would also have a 20th tribute.

I'd also love some remixes, especially of her newer songs. No "classical" mixes needed though, we've got enough to last a while.

I don't personally care much for best albums, but A BEST for XX is such a good title it would almost be a shame not to use it, lol.

A BEST FOR XX sounds like an amazing name, like the LuoYuXiang has stated, you could suggest it to avex staff or Ayumi herself.

Release wise, I wouldn't mind:

New studio album
Blu-ray set of all 3 chapters for Just The Beginning 20
A Ballads 2
Acoustic Orchestra album
20th Anniversary ver of some songs like she did with Depend On You, To Be etc for her 10 anniversary.
A book release with offshoots, PV photos etc and lyrics from her career

I just want a tribute album and and at least one remix album if she doesn't plan on releasing a best.

I don't think that name would happen since it's smth personal for ayu..
I think it'll just be a huge 20th anniversary best album with like a lot of discs (like A LOT) maybe an updated Music video collection or smth. I'd also like the tribute album thing but i havent seen anyone include ayu in their cover albums even so i dont think it'll happen.

I'm on the train for a Tribute album, it's the best way to celebrate 20th anniversary event.

I guess we will have a studio album and maybe a new best album (even though I doubt it will sell as well as A BEST 2 or A COMPLETE, since not so much of her songs released after 2008 were that popular).

Unreleased past songs and demos, unlikely though... I'm really curious to see if A BEST 3 is happening too.

A tribute album with Utada (returning the favor), Kumi, Namie, TRF, AAA and other Avex artists covering Ayu's songs.

A new studio album released the same day as the tribute album and then a best album later in the year preceded by a summer single.

Damn, "A BEST for XX" is such a great name that it's almost sad it's not real. :weep

She had an epic ballads after 2003, so A Ballads 2 would be a great choice. Also, I would like a new album and dvd with her greatest performances.

I am a bit puzzled by such a strong desire for A Best 3. It would seem like a rather pointless release for fans. Most fans don't even by CDs anymore and just stream or download her songs so everyone already has full access to all her past songs. A Best 3 would mostly just be a collectible release for fans that love physical copies or must have a complete collection of everything Ayu.
In the past A Best releases don't really include much, just a small handful of redone vocals on the original A Best and then A Best 2 had an extra song Part of me, a countdown live DVD, and music videos. So if A Best 3 is done, I would like there to be some substantial exclusive content on it to give more incentive for fans to buy it.
I would much prefer A Ballads 2. If it was done the way the original was, we would get a bunch of exclusive alternative versions of her ballads and maybe a new ballad like RAINBOW. It would just be a more valuable release in my eyes.:rainbow

I don't really wish for something special... I'd just like a good album, maybe something close to the first part of GUILTY with rockish songs.

A new album is a good idea, and a mini album after.

I'd love a multi-disc release, maybe a re-recording of all representative songs with rearranged tracks (a'la Ladies Night & Another Night), a disc of unreleased demos and another disc of covers by popular artists.
