[help] Best lyrics for tattoo
 

Hi there,

I’m seriously thinking to make my first tattoo while I’ll be in Japan this spring.

I want to do few sentences in Japanese on the side of my chest and since Ayu’s lyrics are often remarkable, I’m considering it.
For now, I have picked Moments and Love song lyrics as potential choice but I’m not 100% familiar with her lyrics.
May I ask your support to point me songs I should take a read ?
I like original or poetic words. Love can be a theme but not writing in random way like in generic ballads (which I adore to listen).

I wonder sometimes that if I were to tattoo myself some lyrics of hers, which one would it be?

So far, I have thought of the last sentence of Tell All lyrics :
Which can be translated as "I will become the proof that you live" or "I'll become the reason that you breathe" according to some translations that I have found :)

Love song lyrics is a good choice also! I think that you would need to find a song which you have a special connection to so it has more meaning to you :D

Yes you are right but must of my favorite songs are not my favorite lyrics’ one, that’s why I ask your advise to make me consider hypothesis I wouldn’t based on my personal taste :)

I'm planning on tattoing some of her lyrics (among other texts) and I'm still deciding between crossroad, Love song or alterna.

which is iirc "I can't imagine a life without songs/music"

Do you have suggestion about Kumi’s songs ? I would consider too but never really paid attention reading translation of her songs.

^ I'm thinking of 歩き続ける 唄い続け from walk (You'll keep on walking, you'll keep on singing) :) This also made consider ayu's Walk for a tattoo but I guess I connect more to Love song hahaha

But they seem too dark to me now :laugh When I considered this I was having a tougher time in life.

I plan on covering my arms on quotes that mean something to me ^^

yeah, shouldn't a tattoo be personal? i'd say go with your fave song and have a part of that tattooed on your skin :yes you are gonna live with that tattoo for the rest of your life

They will be quotes that are special to me. Stuff that meant something or inspired me as a person or professional. ^^

Do it! Find a line from a song that you love, something that has always stuck with you and incorporate it somehow. I had the line from HEAVEN which translates to "Whatever end is awaiting us is nothing but destiny" (thereabouts) in the original Japanese text in mine. HEAVEN hit me hard the first time I heard it and the words and tone of the song always make me emotional, and I find that line really gives me strength in times of toughness!

This is mine, I also got the Ayu logo and a similar heart/wing combo that she has on the shoulder. Whatever you go for, make sure to spend some time after you think you've decided on it, don't rush into it. Finalise the idea and then spend a few weeks with that plan in your head before you go ahead, just in case you decided to tweak or change any of it.

I got a few lines from Ivy tattooed. I do also think you should get something that you can relate to or that means something to you even if it is just your favorite song, that works for a meaning too I think.
