erm naruse, lol it was announced live on tv HAHAHA LOL check the TOTP website
http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/top40/ It came right down to the wire. The Darkness were in the lead by 889 on Saturday morning, but Gary Jules outsold them on Saturday - by 57,456 to 51,481 - and so The Darkness' exuberant crimbo single has been pipped to the post, by a total of 4,986, by a downbeat cover of an old Tears for Fears song. Who'da thunk it. To give an idea of how much hotter the competition is at Christmas, 'Christmas Time' sold 50,000 more copies last week alone than 'I believe In A Thing Called Love' has sold during its entire 13 weeks on release! Blue's first eight singles all made the top six, but their cover of Stevie Wonder's song 'Signed Sealed Delivered...' falls short and only makes it to No 11. That's what you get for releasing a non-Crimbo single on the most hotly contested week of the year. |
i wanted the darkness to win. but at least mad world isnt pop idols or cheeky anorexic refugees from transylvania
|
LOLZ!!!! haha!!
"cheeky anorexic refugees from transylvania" - bit harsh hehe |
hehe, its tru tho :P theyre well freaky, apparently they sleep together at night naked :eek
|
weird...
|
Phew! Thank god it wasn't the darkness or the cheeky girls!!:rolleyes Too bad it wasn't the sugababes but that song isn't really that good....
|
sometimes i used to find sugababes tunes quite catchy, but i despised hole in the head.. i only heard a few seconds of the new one but it sounded like the typical meaningless ballad...
darkness should have been #1! altho i wish M had been xmas number 1 just on import copies alone... |
hmm..m is soo nice..xmas numba 1 in uk is alright..ii like i like ^-^!
|
I love the song Mad World, I herd it a while ago when I saw the movie Donnie Darko but it shouldn't be number one..it's christmas..not annual depression day. Although I'm so glad the darkness didn't go number one I hate them so much. Lol. It would've been great to see the cheeky girls number one, I don't know why I like them but I do. x__x
|
last year in uk, it was sound of the underground hm!
>,<! that wasnt very xmassy either.. |
yeah, i really hoped neither of the pop rivals would get to number1, because they were so sure at least one of them would, it would have been good if neither had, altho i think the boy group only got to number3 desyo?
[Who...] would make a nice xmas number1 next year hamasaki-san... even though ill be spending next christmas in japan not uk |
erm..im in japan nexxt kurisimasu aswell! ^^
