Vuitton inspired by Ayu?

Ok..so I was at the salon getting my hair done today and flipping through a GQ. I come across an ad for Louis Vuitton that had the exact background as the I am... booklet.

I went to go look for the ad, and they have a whole montage of them here, so take a look for yourself - http://www.vuitton.com/

How cool is that! Ayu is big on LV and has been to LV events and pictured with him etc. With the BG looking almost identical, I think there has to be some inspiration there from Ayu :)

I'm not suprised about that. I remember seeing ayu wearing a jacket that looks like vuitton patterns (not a good look though). Also alot of Japanese women i saw have bags of vuitton. Inspired by Ayu?

Yeah... Ayu definately likes Vuitton.. I said that in my first post.

She's was at some big Vuitton party once, and has Vuittion bags all the time.

Um... I don't tink Vuittion was thinking of I Am.. or Ayumi Hamasaki for that matter when the made those photos. The desert background is used through out all of model history as an exotic look. So does that mean I see a picture of a model in a desert with a similar pose as Ayumi's I Am... cover that the photgrapher copied or was inspired by that idea? And then you complain about some of the threads that you aretired of of. I complain about the ones that people try to compare Ayumi with too much. Just because there is a similar look doesn't mean they were -gasp- "inspired" by Ayumi. :trout

HAHAHAHA Jerms I was soooo right!!

How silly of me to think that a designer that knows Ayumi might have taken inspiration from her. No one ever is inspired by Ayu.. all that looks the same she copied because she is lowly and has no original ideas. No one knows who she is, so why would anyone think to use a similar look?

< /HEAVY SARCASM >

Did I say the word copied ONCE in my original post? NO.

Okay then...

Wait.. LX is ALWAYS right for he is god and makes the rules and knows everything because he is omniscient. He knows what everyone else in the world has been thinking, so he can say for certian exactly what was going on through everyones head at any given moment.

Bow before that which is LX DAI.

I am not worthy.

ayumi1121 28th March 2004 06:36 PM

Vuitton has always been a big thing in japan. It kinda shows your status. You're not "cool" if you don't have one...sort of a thing.

Why thank you for bowing before me. While you're down there I have a favor to ask.

I said COPIED OR INSPIRED but apparently you lack observation skills? So this over-used background with exotic girls in a desert is ALL Ayumi. Every designer took inspiration from this. Oh my god, everyone knows Ayumi and thus are inspired by her. All of her ideas are orignal and she created everything on her own. Why i it that anything that is remotely similar to something Ayumi has done is automatically inspired and/or copied by someone else? Like the jewels in the vid Toxic some how correlates back to Ayumi evn though that has been used before TVs were invented. Yet I'm sure the people made a time machine to use her idea right?</HEAVY SARCASM>

I'm glad you see things my way and envy me. It's about time:thumbsup If only more people could be like that, the world would be a better place. Vot me world leader when the time comes as well. Since I probably could run an economy, military, and government a lot better than what we are udner now. (then again, anyone could be better than Bush)

But back to being semi-serious, do tell me why would you think that a desert background was inspired by Ayumi? Granted I can semi see where you are getting such an ifnerence, but don't state until it's factual. Your presumption is your downfall, just as it is mine and everyone elses. Human nature to presume right? Just dont presume such crap such as a background is inspired by Ayumi by a designer that Ayumi knows. If he was so inspired by her pictures wouldn't he us something like panther skin, leaves or the fairy type of a look? I mean a desert is so over used everywhere, I can see if he did use leaves, a fairy, or soemthing that everyone knows Ayumi did and copied (or was inspired by something else) then it would make sense... but like I keep saying, desert is over used.

I'll give it 20% chance that Vuittion was inspired by Ayumi. That's actually a large percentage for something I highly doubt. Respect what your god chooses.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People who use deserts must be copying AyU1!!!!!!!!1 If you wear puma, louis vuitton you must be copying Ayu to. Hell if you listen to music it must be copied from Ayu because all music comes from Ayu. :rolleyes

In case someone hasn't noticed, deserts have been used for decades and centuries that or Lawrence of Arabia was ripped off Ayu. LX DAI is right... again.

Ayu if you haven't noticed yet is not ms. originality but admits that she takes ideas from others.

boogieordie 28th March 2004 10:55 PM

Did I say with certainty that this happened.. there is a question mark in there. Decide for youself.. I saw that and was like.. wow that's pretty cool it's like the BG from I am... and it's LV.. maybe there is a connection.

How that suggests that everything in the entire universe stems from Ayu is beyond me, AyuDearest1...

And just because something has been done before doesn't mean that the person got it from the original source.

I'm not saying "OHHH!! Look louis Vuitton copied Ayu.. let's dance around and sacrifice stuff to the muse that is Ayu!" just pointing out what I observed.. someone who KNOWS Ayu, has been pictured with Ayu is using stuff in his new campaign that is nearly identical to the background (yes I said background in my original post.. not that people were dressed in leaves etc.) that their might be some connection there beyond pure coincidence. I don't see why people accept the fact that Ayu is inspired by others but no one can be inspired by her.
