Initiates with Plus Signs?
 

I was looking at current active users... and i noticed that Cory and FancySN and Leaf all have +'s next to their usernames... i checked if it was only with the skin Im using (Rain) but it was under em all... does that mean anything? are they like helpers too or is that just a silly lil mistake? :think

The people with + signs are people on your buddy list :)

I'd add you to mine too, but unfortunately, I dun really know how.....

Click on a person's name, and when you see the menu appear, just click "Add (name) to your buddy list" ;)

If you want to add more than one person at a time you can edit your buddy list in the control panel under "Buddy / Ignore Lists". That's where you can remove people as well.

There's no negative sign, but if you did add someone to your ignore list, it'd be like this:

"This message is hidden because (username) is on your ignore list."

You can still click a link to see the post, but all posts wouldn't show up from that person
