Loading Speed?....
 

is anyone else havin like.. a lag when loading threads? I dunno whats been going on, but the forums have been loading reallly slow.. is there like a sig limit still in effect? I dunno...I know my connection aint slow, nor is my comuter since i Just reformatted it, and im at 2.8 MPS.. so uh.. anyone else havin this problem? i think someones sig is slowing things down... -_-

I think there's a bunch of sigs slowing things down. Yeah, my browser lags and ends up freezing. Then my whole comp freezes.

There's no problem for me at all...

Maybe my internet connection doesn't suck after all... :D

I've been having the same problem, it does take a long time to load up a thread.

Opening the forum is fine, but opening threads and posting/editing in a non-Post-Quick-Reply was very tardy.

Try disabling sigs/avatars and see if you get the problem. If you think a particular sig is a problem report it to a staff member so they can investigate.

Eh whatever, I don't have a slow connection either.

I always have the sigs turned off and unfortunately, it's still very laggy...(Am on Broadband, not dial-up)

AHS only goes slow for me when i'm uploading or downloading something. . . Maybe that's the problem?

I have the problem too, but it occurs randomly. It came up when I changed the source of my avatar, when I posted a reply, and when I went to the main page. It can take up to 10/15 minutes to load.

I had a slow AHS loading speed earlier too. Took 5-10 minutes just to get to the main page. So I disabled all the avatars and sigs from other members and things went back up to speed. Now I put the options back in and things are still fast.

There were times for me where it would take forever and a day to load something. But those were at completely random times...so I'm not quite sure what the problem was...

Yeah, the sig limiting is still in effect.. mine got chopped >_>;
As for loading times.. I'm not having any problems at all..

weird..only the mane page takes a while for me somethimes..everything else is fine..

I don't think it's really about the size of the sigs, but it's all those sigs with flashy effects and stuff. Yes, I am aware that you can disable the sig option. I am just commenting.

Nah, his is simple. I mean big huge sigs that take forever to load because of the graphics and all that "fancy stuff". His loads just as fast as our own.

Yea I agree. They should make a limit on how much "fancy stuff" you put on a sig.
Oh btw I don't have a problem loading any sigs or sanything. The only times it goes kinda slow its when I reformat or use "Windows washer" since my computer has to upload them for the first time.

I've seen certain sig out there which I havent seen lately btw, that even after I post and such, it still hasn't even loaded. I don't think the sigs here are bad. Lumix's loads fast for me.

actually my sig is only 3 frames o_O and its less than 50Kb

It doesn't have anything to do with the sigs, I turn off sigs and it's still slow. (Although it would if your connection is slow.)
