The file name needs to be hanabi_large.GIF for animation, not hanabi_large.JPG :yes

Doh, didn't notice that ;)

Anyway, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with what you sent me, as you can see below...

If you are planning to use it as a sig, you should really make it smaller, its quite big.

weijie22 1st September 2004 02:39 PM

how to change the size
change it directly
or use the flash file????

kel64 1st September 2004 03:45 PM

Here is my example of a more optimised version...

http://www.apcv41.dsl.pipex.com/optimised.gif

I have added 25 'lossy' (compression) and reduced the size a bit. It's now under 500k, which is still fairly big, but half of the original file. Play with settings yourself and see what you can come up with.

weijie22 2nd September 2004 01:39 AM

i put it up for testing already
thanks

_CREA_ 2nd September 2004 10:31 PM

I compressed it a bit further if you're interested. It's now at a Photobucket-friendly ~244 KB. It's just, when I came on this post, it took nearly forever for the GIF to load as it is (dial-up :dead2) so I figured I'd shrink it down half in addition to kel64's half, so now it's a quarter of its original size. :) Take it or leave it:

You can go ahead and link it if you want to:

i will take it
btw how you make it smaller???

HanabiChick 3rd September 2004 11:38 AM

In animation shop you can resize the animation to make it smaller.

I did it in Adobe ImageReady myself. :yes (If you have Photoshop I believe I.R. comes with that?)
