Carols 1st week sales
 

Unimatrix Prime™ at T-N posted the following sales numbers:

１位 浜崎あゆみ 『CAROLS』(CD+DVD) 99，400ポイント
２位 浜崎あゆみ 『CAROLS』(CDの&#12415 62，700ポイント

No stats of the SACD or DVDA but this is quite good..

That's 162,100 copies sold for the first week. And for the CD+DVD and CDonly versions alone.
Wonder how well the DVD-A and SACD did...

So the CD + DVD combo sold about 1/3 more than the CD alone. I figured it would be the opposite.

Not bad though.

DVD-A won't be seeling well untill DVD-A becomes the new standard, and SACD is really for a niche market.

Yeah..its not exactly a week yet. I thinkt he sales would be higher...i'll wait for the official news.

Oricon counts the weekly sales on a certain day of the week. 'Weekly' isn't to be taken literally as they don't tag every item's sales exactly one week after it's released date.

^ this came from Yeah! Jpop! which isn't exactly the most accurate source around...they're either higher or lower than the figures that Oricon release =z

i am glad it is doing well. and i think the other two formats have neglible sales, so they wont contribute to the sales so much. the markets for these formats are so small!

lets hope this can break 300k or even 400k

Especially given that the PV wasn't great it seems unlikely the CD+DVD would outsell the CD* so I think the total sold is more likely to be 99,400 rather than 162,000. ie the normal CD sold 62700 and the CD+DVD version 36700 copies.

Hard to say if this is good or not since no-ones sure of the timescale. But that gorgeous cover is probably helping sales a fair bit :)

*If it were a similar price this could make sense but CD+DVD is much more expensive (amazon.co.jp):

SACD Y1575
DVDA Y1575

Well, it's not surprising even if it sell 162,000 total, since her first week sales nowadays ranges around 150,000 anyway.

Who knows, other people might've enjoyed the PV.
