About MTRLG

i was just wondering if Ayu's brand MTRLG is popular? and how's it doing in Japan? and wat do u think of the clothes?

lolo66 3rd January 2005 08:21 AM

It was good for while, but not too hot lately, only from what I can gather anyway. So don't believe a thing I say. :P A new store did open a little while ago. :)

If you ask me, the clothes and materials are actually pretty plain form this chain.

PickleCookies 3rd January 2005 08:34 AM

They're really expensive. O_o

TeamAyu 3rd January 2005 08:53 AM

It's actually pretty popular I believe, and like PickleCookie's said it's REALLY EXPENSIVE! I wanted to order a pair of jeans from their line but IT'S SO EXPENSIVE! REALLY REALLY nice pair of jeans though... it was like $125!!!! *thud*

lolo66 3rd January 2005 10:26 AM

$125 is quite reasonable. You didn't expect Walmart (wooo shivers already) pricing now did you? J/K

Chrono 3rd January 2005 10:32 AM

uhm.. actually...$125 is alot for a pair of jeans o_o
even levis or diesel are usually <$100

extepan 3rd January 2005 03:10 PM

i would rather buy calvin klein with that money, to be honest

Most of Diesel jeans price are > 150€ in France :s (about 200$)

125$ for jeans it's not too much i think... less than 100€.

elepop 3rd January 2005 05:07 PM

I really love the clothes from MTRLG. I love the t-shirts. Especially Ayu's ones.

But yeah, it's pretty expensive, for me. If the jeans is $125, it's a lot to me, but my sister's jeans are always $100 and higher and she thinks that's cheap. It really depends if you like spend much in a certain thing.

devilayu 3rd January 2005 07:19 PM

Really, MTRLG clothing is pretty plain and most of the stuff is nothing special. People buy it because it has Ayumi's name attached to the label. Once in a while, there are spreads in magazines like Vivi dedicated to MTRL clothing but I agree that it was a bigger thing when the brand first started.

mui-gei-tal 3rd January 2005 10:05 PM

i went on the site...the prices are like MAD HIGH~ damn. i wanna buy a shirt with ayumi's name on it...LOL

Lol that is so true! :yes

Catzi 4th January 2005 09:11 PM

MTRLG seems like one of those places where you buy a shirt to advertise for them. Kinda like GAP or Calvin Kline, ya know?

i was gonna order a belt from the MTRLG online store but when i read support index it said this
Quote:

"* About delivery area
You deliver to the Japanese entire country which excludes the remote island section. (We do not do the delivery to the foreign country) "
(i translated it) :thud i really want the belt.......o well alot of the fashion is to common 4 my taste n-e-ways

matt 31st March 2005 06:02 AM

I have a MTRLG (well, MTRLB) tshirt, which though it is kind of cool, certainly not worth what I paid for it. Also, the A-Nation 04 Ayu tshirt is MTRLG. That one was much better value lol

yukiko 31st March 2005 09:42 AM

its a bit on the expensive side considering its one of Shibuya109 brands..... the clothing in Shibuya109 are not suppose to be that expensive ..... but the quality of MTRLG clothing are good...... its not as popular in Japan as brands like Cecil McBee or Cocolulu though...

AyumiBest 18th January 2008 11:14 AM

I just went to the site and I was like...er..pretty plain...but I didn't look at the prices...XDD

TITANIC 18th January 2008 01:55 PM

Blasterion 18th January 2008 02:04 PM

I've got a MTRLA (Ayu's A) shirt, which isn't more than just a Tee, but it's really good quality... well anywayzz

I went to the 109 store last year, btw that building is like shopping heaven (for girls..darn)
and they had some wonderful stuff there, too bad I couldn't buy anything there, cause I'm a guy.. oh well ;)
but I tried to convince my sis too pick up a shirt or something,
but she didn't want to..:(
