I doubt this'll be enough to stop her career but oh, it'll feel good to make my loathing public. Among all the manufactured "artists" today, I don't think there's anyone more arrogant, talentless and annoying than Ashlee.

To go with an idea from one of the signers, it would be absolutely perfect if she had to audition on American Idol! Simon Cowell would say what most of us have been saying, only with more cruelly accurate wit.

CyberSpaceQueen 20th January 2005 09:58 AM

that's not nice!
I likeher music, but I don't like herself as an singer!!

gothicia 20th January 2005 10:02 AM

i have nothing against her. just that she is not particularly pretty, nor is she particularly talented in singing. and the fact that she lip synchs yet gave stupid reasons to get away with it, makes me wanna dismiss her to devil's land. yes, i'd be nice to have Simon Cowell to review on her. actually, it's even nice to have Simon Cowell comment on all the singers ... it'd be interesting to read what he says.

Very interesting how some people choose to spend their time....

Anyway, I happened to see this while reading the news last night:
Quote:

But Cowell defends a more maligned figure: Ashlee Simpson, who caught plenty of flak after being caught lip-synching on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" last year.

"Why should you have to do something substandard just for the sake of being real? If it sounds better with the vocal you recorded, why shouldn't people listen to that? There's almost a witch-hunt mentality about people miming."
Simon says it's okay to lip-synch. :rolleyes

100314 and still growing

Cyria 20th January 2005 01:38 PM

Simon, no! Would he actually want her as Idol? Well, they don't yet have the faux rocker slot filled when it comes to winners.

And Ashlee's voice isn't exactly great even when they play the ProTooled version of her songs.

MsMiyabi 20th January 2005 06:44 PM
