Remember Baby Spice!?

Hey What's Up Everyone!?
Remember Emma Bunton, she was known as Baby Spice?
I'm not completely sure bcuz my friend kind of just filled me in while we were going to school, but she told me that she has a solo album coming out soon, if it's not already out. So anyways, later that day she sent me a video of I think her new single called 'free me' and I thought that was pretty good. Emma looks really beautiful in the video and she sings so well. So if anybody knows any more about this please reply back. Oh and here's the video if anyone is interested..Thanx a bunch!

hmm... I never listened to the Spice Girls, but here's something I heard about on the radio a few weeks ago:

Baby Spice and Sameera Reddy swap lives

Subhash K. Jha (IANS)
Mumbai, November 19

In a delicious cultural swap, British pop star Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton sneaked into Mumbai and did everything that Sameera Reddy, the Musafir star, normally does, including a cameo appearance in a Bollywood film.

The BBC approached Sameera a few months ago to undertake an exchange programme with Emma Bunton.

"Last week, she came to Mumbai and did all the things I do. Now, I will be going to London and Bristol to do things she does," quipped Sameera.

Sameera took personal interest in Emma's short trip to Mumbai. "I sat with the BBC and planned her visit to Mumbai. I wanted her to live those couple of days exactly the way I do," said the actress.

Sameera had Baby Spice dressed by Mumbai designer Rocky S and sent to the sets of Pal Tham Gaya.

The Spice Girl filmed a song sequence with the charismatic Sammir Dattani and Soha Ali Khan for the Hriday Shetty film, starring Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.

"She was in a state of shock. As for me, she has planned a surprise for me in London, just like I planned a surprise for her. But I've an inkling that she has arranged this shopping spree for me," said Sameera.

Sameera will soon leave for London to get a feel of Emma Bunton's lifestyle. The self-styled Indian Spice Girl will shop where Emma does and make a guest appearance in the hit series Casualty.

Sameera, who has just finished her first Bengali film, directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta, is awfully excited.

"I shall get a feel of the British paparazzi. I will be splashed in all the British tabloids just like she is. While she had the 'Indian Standard Time' experience in Mumbai, I'll be subjected to British punctuality."

Asked how she secured this privilege, Sameera replied, "Basically they wanted a chirpy Bollywood actress with a metropolitan image, who could bring a feel of Bollywood to England."

Asked if the two are exchanging boyfriends, Sameera giggled, "Ha! There wasn't anyone for her here."

Sameera will return to Mumbai in time for Musafir's release.

Emma's new solo album Free Me is great, by now it should already be out in the US. I love that swinging 60s style.

The video download's not working for me, by the way.

Yes, I think the album was originally released in '03.

I thought she had a couple albums now? I love 'Maybe', that's video is cute.

Aisha_Angel 6th February 2005 08:35 PM

I heard about her making a comeback last week on Entertainment Tonight. Haven't heard the song yet but I do wish her good luck. The industry is kind of cut-throaty now.

Emma's had one other solo album (called A Girl Like Me?), that came out in 01 if I remember it right.

I used to be a huge fan of hers when she was in the Spice Girls... It was crazy! But I haven't really heard her solo stuff too much... mp3s anyone?

^I think so too.

I like this album more than her first one.
"Crickets sing for annamaria" and "Maybe" are nice:)

Some of the b-sides are very good. Kinda jazzy.
