Ai Otsuka's first press extra drawing booklets
 

Hope I am not posting in the wrong sub-forum.

I was just wondering if anyone has or knew where to get those little first press booklets of Ai's drawings that come with cds.

Does anyone have any that they are willing to sell to me? If there's anyone willing to sell them please contact me and I'd be really happy to buy them ^^

Also which of here recent releases are sold as first press cds on yesasia?

All the first presses are PROBABLY sold out on YesAsia... and CDJapan. All of her CD-only releases have had a photobook, I think. Since I usually buy CD+DVD, I've never gotten one of the books.

There are some nice drawings at her web site. Not as good as having the real thing, but still nice :)

The picturebooks only come with the first press copies of her releases, the [CD] only versions that is. They're limited to around 50,000 copies only. Although 'Sakuranbo' and 'Amaenbo' were exceptions cause the first press copies were only limited to 10,000 and 20,000 copies respectively.

The picturebooks always told a short story starring Ai-chin's character, LOVE. And the story would always have to do something with the release's title or at least part of the short story's plot has something to do with it.

Anyway, as for your last question. All her releases have first press versions.
The [CD] only versions would have the picturebooks. The [CD+DVD] versions I really don't know.
Anyway, with her latest single, Kuroge Wagyuu Joshio Tanyaki 680-en, both CD/CD+DVD versions had the same first press bonus -- an Original sticker featuring her character, LOVE, and Black Jack's PINOKO.

I wonder is the first press is still available on yesasia of her latest single?

Oh! The 'Sakuranbo' re-release comes with a photobook, so if you can get a hold of that, you'll get the booklet.

Also, if you can pre-order it, I recommend doing that. It's already out of print at CDJapan so it probably won't take too long till it goes out of print at yesasia as well.

I saw two of them at Mitsuwa in chicago yesterday. They've been there for some time now.

Hmm... so it is. Hmm... it was probably just a slight mistake on their part or they just put 'out of print' so no one would try and order the CD right away when they listed it last month.

Oh, and I think what ashlee meant was that overseas versions (the CD only ones of course) also have the picturebooks, but like the japanese versions, they're only first press bonuses as well.

Oic that's pretty odd. So basically the encore version is just a rerelease?

I did not know OS versions have picturebooks. It's really a pity tho that yesasia does not mention if first press bonuses are available.

Yeah. Since the single was a big hit, I think they wanted to re-issue it along with the picturebook.

Also, there's also a way you can get the picturebooks with the single... the only thing is they're on yahoo! auctions japan and most, if not all, the sellers don't ship outside Japan.

=/ that sucks.. -.- oh well thanks ^_^ maybe they release the encore versions of the other singles. I'm being hopeful as usual XD
