what do you do when you are listening to music?
 

So, when you are listening to music, would you put your mind totally into the music, or would you listen to it while doing something else to pass time, or would you just concentrate on doing other things while letting the music pass on?

For me, I would mostly be surfing the net and browsing through forums while listening to songs. If the song happens to be very nice, or it's a song which I like very much, then I will stop for a while to enjoy the song. Sometimes I would also be doing homework, but I don't think that is good because it distracts my attention and I would not be very efficient in doing my work.

So, what do you all do?

I listen to music constantly so it would be impossible for me to list all the things I do while playing music. :P

I'm usually on my computer listening or out and about with the Pod

Usually I sing... O_o (not very well) when no one is around lol... I usually listen to it when I'm going to sleep, on the computer, etc.

Depends on the situation. Back when I took the bus to school I used to listen to music on my MD, now when I drive the car I listen to music on my car's CD player, etcetera. Most of the time whenever I'm doing something that requires not much thought. However, I often sit down, put on headphones, and actually listen to an album - this I actually prefer, but I don't always have the time for it.

I can't live without music nowadays. I listen to it on my way to school, in lessons, on my way home from school, during lunch, if i go shopping, just when relaxing at home, when i'm on the computer, when i'm in the bath/shower.

What can i say, so much J-pop, so little time :laugh

When I'm in my room, I am probably on my computer, or dancing around. Also, I always listen to music when I drive.

Agreed. I also don't usually have the time to sit down and listen to a whole album. That's why I usually do other things like homework while listening to an album.

By the way, I also listen to songs while I'm taking public transports. I think it will be a waste of time if I don't do so.

For those who say you listen to music constantly, how loud do you turn your music on when you are in your room?

Depends on my location at the time. When I'm on the computer I play spider solitaire, post on forums, download stuff and whatnot. I jam to music when I'm in the car, people look at me weird but it's whatever. In the house, it's up all the way and I dance, sing, rap, whatever the song may call for, except if it's a female-my sister sings those parts. hehe. When I'm away at college? If my roommate is in the room I have headphones on. When he's not, the stereo gets cranked up and I jam up until he walks in on me and catches me singing and dancin... :thud

Usually online or doing homework...

But it's amazing when you just sit down in a comfortable spot with headphones or a nice stereo and just listen to the music and close your eyes or observe little things around you...

...It's then that music is just a really amazing thing. I did that with Mika Nakashima's MUSIC. Wow, it was a wonderful experience. :)

I have it everywhere but I can't listen to it during classes. Our school administration and faculty are Nazis when it comes to electronics. It's really dumb.

Besides school, there's not very many times during the day I don't have music on.

I usually sing, but sometimes I dance with a rhythmic gymnastic's ribbon XD
I listen to music all the time Oo Even when shopping I like it, because I don't hear all that noise, just beautiful music.

Usually when I'm on the computer, doing homework, in the car or before going to sleep.

I dance like crazy when its J-Rock and sing when its J-Pop :D If it is something else (except asian music), I just listen.

Some music I only enjoy when I'm on the computer.
Some music I only enjoy late at night.
Some music I only enjoy alone in my room.
Some music I can't help but sing/scream to.

The music I listen to depends on what I'm doing......

Usually I sing and surf the net. When i'm travelling I just listen to it and stare out the window maybe even fall alseep.
