omg are u for real?? *cries*

but he said it was imported from japan etc... :cry

mnuguyen 22nd June 2005 05:09 AM

The labeling on the DVD's are wrong, so chances are it is a bootleg. (CDL 2001-2003 should be CDL 2001-2002 and Stadium Tour should be 2002.) The photo of the box is also wrong...
But if he/she claims it is region 3, then it is the Overseas Version... but I doubt it.

overseas versions of anything never has chinese on it except for the insert inside the CD with the chinese lyrics and the thingy they stick on the spine of the CD.

and that's majorly expensive for a bootleg!!

Syphex 22nd June 2005 05:40 AM

If the seller claims it is the original imported japense, and it is not, then youhave a right to send it back, get a refund, and leave negative feedback.

You win, bootleg or not.

You're exactly right. Also, if you look at the spines of the DVDs, only one DVD has part of the 'A' on it, and the other titles are in the middle. On the official DVDs, the titles start at the top and work their way down, they're not centered.

will dvd bootlegs quality and concert same as the real ones??

wat exactly are bootlegs?

mnuguyen 22nd June 2005 07:25 AM

There are some "high quality" bootlegs, I guess you could get them if you don't mind it not being official.
Bootlegs are "home made" copies of the original DVD or CD.

Delirium-Zer0 22nd June 2005 07:57 AM

I've seen ayu concert bootlegs where the audio was WAY off from the video. This might be a hi-quality bootleg but, being a bootleg, NO way it's worth $50, much less $80. :( I say get a refund and hold out for a real one.

I think it's a bootleg. :( I've got the original set and there is no writing in the upper corners. Also the person said that these were the original discs from Japan, yet lists the region for them as being Region 3. Japan is Region 2.

You should of asked us before bidding. :( I think you can probabally cancel the transaction through ebay though, since the items are being misrepresented.

Also an official set w/ all 4 wouldn't go for less than $100 and Ayu's concerts are so good, she deserves people buying the real things - not bootlegs.

Poor Qt Mashi!

Delirium-Zer0 23rd June 2005 07:42 AM

Hey, you live you learn. I think QT learned from this experience, both how to identify bootlegs and that you should always ask around before bidding on something that might be a bootleg. (To me, buying bootlegs is even worse than downloading alot ;_; cuz you're not only not supporting the artist you love, but you're supporting people who make money by trying to fool us, and losing money yourself in the process!)

i messages him on ebay and asked for a refund because it was a bootleg because it had chinese writing etc and he messaged me back:

"I don't know what you are talking about. All my merchandise are 100% matching my descriptions. No "bootlegs" in my listings. If you want to change your mind because your carelessness of reading my description of the auction, that's your problem. At Ebay, winning bid is a contract, you can't change it according your will. By the way, your merchandise was shipped out yesterday morning. For your info."

s.k.y 24th June 2005 08:31 AM

><" hope you figure a way out of this :(

isaac hiew 24th June 2005 08:59 AM

Jeez, never buy ayu products on the net, man..... Even you wanna buy it, you should ask the auctioner properly.

My condolences to you. As for me, I have a trustworthy J-POP/K-POP dealer in my town so I always and only goes there to purchase ayumi merchandises.

Talk to Ebay. It IS a bootleg and bootlegs aren't allowed to be sold (even though plenty of people do it all the time) Ebay has a special section to report items that go against Ebay's selling policies. Or if you paid through paypal, you can lodge a complaint with them.

Also, point that person to this thread. It is POSSIBLE that they don't know they are selling a bootleg although with such misnamed titles like Countdown Live 2001-2003, I don't know how they couldn't know...
