itunes question

Okay im trying to organize my library but it already has some of my songs imported and some that aren't?

is there a way I can delete all the songs there and then ask it to import mp3 files to my comp?

instead of doing them one by one...

Because if I just click add album it will make copies of files I already have on there...

ALso,, If you suggest deleting and reinstalling iTunes i bought a few songs on itunes so if I have to do that will those songs be deleted?

thirdly, is there an easier way to add the cover art instead of doing it for each track on an album?

Okay hopefully the first wasn't too confusing :innocent thanks for any help I do get :)

Well if all you want to do is start your library from scratch, just select all of the songs and delete.. I think that seems a little too simple, I'm not sure I understand your question...

As far as editing info/cover art for multiple items at once, select them all and then right click them and select Get Info. There you can edit the info for all the stuff you have selected. Took me a long time to figure that one out, and oh how I appreciate it now ^_^

first of all u CAN select all the songs from the library and erase them but u have to make sure that U had your folder music organized (on preferecnes)
there are 2 things u can do...

1.If u had ur folder organized.. when u slecet all your songs and erase them.. itunes ask you if you want to keep our songs or trhow them away.. u select keep files..

that way u'll have the library clean and your songs won't be erased, just NOT in itunes

then u click to search for for all mp3 music u have on your computer (itunes does it automat... (that word XD) and then u go to preferences and select to KEEP ORGINIZE your folder and that eveyrtime u add music to the itunes it will copy and not make an alias....

so when u DL something new u have to add it to itunes it will make a copy (if you selected the keep oranized and copy music to folder selections) and the u have to trwo away the son u DLed.

2. select all the music from the library open a new folder in your desktop and coy all that music there. then you'll have the music from the itunes and a copy. Erase all the music from itunes and then reorganized all the music auto (u know what XD).

yes open the little windows on the corner and select let's say and album... grab the pic an throw it to the little window and it'le be copied to the rest of the songs..

or select all the songs and click the info thingy and add it there.. there is a little square.

so that's it I hope I helped!

If you hold the control key you can select multiple tracks. The shift key works too if they're in chunks. Click on one track and hold down the shift key and then click on the last track and it selects everything in between.
