More Asian music inspired songs..or no

I am: well it still have those japanese instruments in the bg even though the song is more of rock type

theme of a-nation: chinese...kinda

INSPIRE: the intro sounded like is something from Thai or somewhere in southeast asia

Will: almost have this enka/japanese music element..i think



these are probably the ones that infused with asian instruments
out of all of them the only one i hate is INSPIRE...that one is by far the worst ayu release imho and in the new album i hope ayu will do make more of this type of style

Asian inspired songs are alright I think. o__o I don't get why people hate Inspire so much, it's one of her best dance songs. I wouldn't mind if she did a few more asian inspired songs, but not too much. ^^ I just want more rocky songs. XD

I do think her Asian inspired songs are rather interesting. They add style. I always love her asian inspired songs.

I don't hate INSPIRE either. It's got quite a lot of style and attitude.

INSPIRE is such a great song, at least it wasn't a generic type dance song. It was so exotic, and the video was hot as hell.. But yeah, I wouldn't mind more of these songs, but not TOO much...

hehehe, same comment as Demure~ Inspire is a good song...like u say, its got some of that Thai-style to it :D

I seem to fall in love with all those asian themed songs...so I would say she should keep making more! But in moderation like she has been. :3

^ Haha! i love the asian sounding ones. Theme of A-Nation '03 was AMAZING the first time i heard it, as well as WILL.
They are like, OMFG GOOD to me.
And INSPIRE, I used to love that song, but i listened to it atleast 30 times, and i got a little sick of it, but i still like it.

It shows how much we can get inspired to use ideas from other cultures and put them into music :yes

Why doesn't she use like Mongolian inspire songs? DId everyone forget about the Mongols? :(

Boys & Girls sounded like it had an Indian influence too. I love the sitars in it~

i like it, but as everyone said, keep it in moderation.

INSPIRE is one of her really good songs, it wasn't cliche.

Maybe not every type of music appeals to her? :eyebrow

I agree with you about INSPIRE! I wish she would do a few more songs like that.

I really like her Asian inspired songs (including INSPIRE!) and so I don't mind her making more. :)

i like the asian inpired melodies in ayu songs.... well, INSPIRE has a very weak stanza parts (both of them)... she seems a zombie, but the song is saved by the chorus part. (and the bridge is not so bad either)...

Generally I like the ethnic songs, many of my favorite songs (if not of ayumi's) are ethnic inspired, like Aya Ueto's Kaze and Hitomi Shimatani's VIOLA and Poinsettia. My favorite ayu songs are not among her "ethnics" though, although will is quite nice. BTW, doesen't HEAVEN hold some slight ethinc elements too?

I LOVE Will.. I always like asian inspired songs... but I also LOVED her arabian/persian sounding one too! I wish she would do more like that... of course I love all of her songs anyways :D
