Ayumi's old doramas and movies
 

I've been trying to collect all of Ayu's pre-avex videos, but have found that most of these are nearly impossible to find.(even on Japanese P2P networks) I haven't seen a comprehensive list of her doramas and movies posted here before, so I thought I would start one.

Here is the list of all the doramas and movies she was in between 92 and 97. (Some under the name of Hamasaki Kurumi) If anyone knows of any others, please let me know:

Anime(voice overs): Art of Fighting(1992)

Dorama: Twins Teacher(1993), Miseinen(1995), 同居人カップルの推理旅行(I'm not sure of the English title, but Babelfish translated it as 'Inference travelling of roommate couple'), Yami no Purple Eye

Movies: Sumomomomomo, Nagisa no Sindbad, Gakko 2, Ladies Ladies Ladies

I suspect that she was in even more than that though since between the time that she dropped out of middle school and when she got her record deal with Avex this was basically her only source of income. Also I couldn't find one source on the net that listed all of these together, usually people only know about 2 or 3.

So far the only ones I have been able to see are about half of the Miseinen episodes, Sumomomomo(really interesting movie btw), and Ladies. Also a small clip of Nagisa no Sindbad.

I also have found it interesting that in everything I have seen so far, she has played an abused or neglected child.

ADDENDUM: Here is a more complete list that I just found from various Japanese websites, including airdates. Some of the titles don't make any sense(translated by babelfish), so I've also left the original kanji titles:

Strangely she has no credits for the year 1997. Part of that year was spent in New York though receiving voice and stage lessons.

Misc credits that I'm not quite sure what the heck they are:

Whew that's a long list and who knows, this might not even be complete....

wow i didnt know she was in that many films

lol I´m surprised too :P want to have all those movies but they´re really hard to find got some of them already though but without subs so it´s no fun watching waiting for subs to come ^^

I think her old movies are slowly being reintroduced to the light of day (lol) because it's a way to capitalize on Ayumi's 'hidden' past. Good luck finding the dramas because they are 1) old and 2) probably not on VHS or DVD release. "Art of Fighting" might be easiest to find because it is an anime.

That's not an official book so I don't think many people here have it.

Yeah, I've seen that book but haven't read it. It isn't official and since it is in Chinese I can't read it. Could you translate some of it for us?

I'd love to see Ayu way back when Acting...

EDIT: Hey! I found this! I didnt know they were commercially available... AYU DVD SET , Maybe I'll buy it when i get a chance...

Yeah, there is no English version. I don't expect you to translate the whole book, but if you had the time to translate the most important sections, that would be awesome. :)

Ayu acted in Gakko? I watched Gakko IV on the aeroplane to Japan!!

Yeah, that set contains the movies Sumomomomo and Ladies, but those can also be purchased seperately for cheaper at Yesasia.

While we're on the subject,

According to jdorama.com and others, Ayumi's songs have been the theme tune for at least two Japanese drama series:

Mukashi no otoko (Endless Sorrow)
Double Bed (LOVE ~Destiny~)

Voyage was also the theme for the Dorama My Little Chef and Seasons was the theme for Tenki-yoho no koibito.

Just found a whole bunch of other doramas and appearances from various Japanese web sites and have added them onto my first post above.

Now, who's for raiding the vaults of all these TV studios?!? :thud

Torrents are usually fine here, but I'd like to warn anyone who does download it that it is very much an adult film, suitable for 18+ years old only. Many of our members here fall into the 13-16 yo age range.

I have LadysX3...and Ayu's not so nice in that hehe....

Also, I have an Ayumi SNK king of fighters commercial...I believe it's pre-avex if anyone wants that...
